G’day Jared,  Welcome  to the funny farm  Big Grin

I’m a banger short of a barbie  s29

As has been mentioned, coconut oil is bees knees for a moisturiser on psoriasis, I heartily recommend it mate.

Enjoy yourself on here Jared, this site is a great escape from suffering our horrible disease.

Hello Jared and Welcome.
For my scalp I use topicote lotion. It clears it up very fast. I also have used it on my face, behind my ears and eyebrows. Although the lotion isnt designed for this, it cleared a patch on my face recently in less than a week.
My skin is ruined from over use of steroïden creams do be careful when using them.
Ive only just started becoming an active member of the group, but everyone here is very friendly and welcoming.

Hi Jared,

Welcome!

I’ve had scalp psoriasis since I was 15 but didn’t get a diagnosis until I was 19. For years I thought I was sensitive for a kind of shampoo  Rolleyes

I assume you use hydrocortisone for your face? That’s indeed a very mild steroid, especially if you can use it intermittently.

How much of your scalp is affected by the psoriasis?

welcome Jared!
I have scalp psoriasis too. and a few spots on my body.
i keep shaving my hear the shorter i can (i don't directly shave the scalp itself) and apply natural scalp lotion. it helps just a little bit but not as much as the traditional steroidal treatment. i'm trying to cut-off sugar and gluten which i believe could help.
in the meantime i keep on being positive and don't let the flakiness put me down.   Big Grin
