Araorun,

If I can help you by having you in my thoughts, then you are certainly in them. Ik hope that this strange situation, we have seen those before here on the board, ask GB, will resolve itself and that you can get access to a good doctor.
I will send you some overseas Reiki today Smile you never know how the energy of positive thoughts from the people overe here will help you.

Stay positive and keep on fighting. Five
Caroline

We're happy to have you here, and like Caroline said "We have seen this sort of thing before" it does however usually get sorted but can take time. Sometimes it needs the patient to get heavy with them to get somewhere. Start pestering them and demand that they get you referred to a dermatologist, they are far better suited to treat you.

I'll also send you some positive vibes from my part of the world, and one thing is for sure. We will always be here.  Smile

* I have removed the doctors names from your post. It's nothing against you, but we don''t allow doctors to be mentioned by name on Psoriasis Club. One reason is for advertising, but also it's unfair as they can not defend themselves as we don't allow medical professionals to post.

i am so grateful for your support.

So even though my PCP royally screwed up my referral, it turns out the rheumatologist he sent me to DOESN'T TAKE MY INSURANCE!! -- the referral center caught this and that's why they called. I called PCP and lit into the nurse and the referral center for not referring me to someone in my network on voicemail. Referral center told me only 1 rheumatologist takes my insurance in the city and they were booked until June. Started sobbing at work. Told them I had type 1 diabetes, edema and the psoriasis and said "get me in." They sent a referral to the doc... late in the day... higher power at work... they called and had an appointment for next Thursday!! Only a 1 day delay... so glad... I told the woman at the rheumatology clinic about my troubles and she did say I needed a rheumatologist because the issues are all autoimmune. Won't stop me from asking about a derm, but I clearly need some kind of specialist even to start.

yes, I filled out the Quality of Life index before even going to the ER and my score was 30. So it's constantly affecting my life in ways it never did before this massive awful outbreak. Still signs of healing and decreased swelling since there is still some prednisone in my system, I guess, but it won't last. I was so scared today I was back to square one.

I have found that using the coconut oil while in the shower is much more helpful than just using it after I shower--don't know why, but it does.

have also adjusted my diet some to include lots more green veggies than even before (always good) and making dinners from scratch, even though as a single mom it's still easy to do the soup/sandwich dinners. I just am trying to improve overall. I would like to live to see my son grow up!!

sorry if I mentioned any doc names in earlier posts... didn't know, didn't mean to, but I'll remember not to.

Good news you’re back in track with the early appointment.... I hope it all goes well and you get a good treatment at the rheumatologist Thumb
