This must be week 6 of Aceterin. Psoriasis is still improving which is such a relief. My face is much less noticeable but nowhere near how it used to be. My hands are all clear, my legs just a few patches. Torso is noticeable but not as red and angry. Scalp is still bad. As for side effects: I'm really itchy!i am loosing more  hair than usual. My palms and fingertips peel every few days. My little toe nail is coming offf. Keeping going for now.

Oh and the psoriasis is still in my ears! And my ear drum not healed yet, had a hearing assessment today which supports that I'm not deliberately ignoring my family, I genuinely can't hear many frequencies in the ear that perforated. Seeing the ENT again soon

I hope the eardrum is healing for you and is less painful ..
If the acetretin is working the chances are it will clear from your ears as well ...there's still time for it to get you clear it can be a slow starter....I have selective deafness according to my wife Whistle

Fingers crossed you won't lose many nails, I lost a couple on my toes but it was psoriasis not acitretin that caused mine  Sad

Glad to see you are having some improvement overall but really hope your ears clear up soon....and the itchiness too!!

Not posted for a while as I've been feeling very low. My psoriasis is getting better although scalp and face still causing a problem but my hearing has got worse. My perforated ear drum not healed yet and seems to have fluid collected in it. The other ear keeps getting blocked it seems  since starting Aciteritin I have too much ear wax. It's really affecting my job as I can't keep up in meetings and I don't feel like going out socially because I have a red peeling face and can't hold a proper conversation anywhere crowded. The ENT consultant said not to put anything in my ears as my left ear was perforated. He said the wax was nothing to do with psoriasis but I've never had this problem before I started taking Acitretin and I noticed people in this group have commented on ear wax. Thinking of stopping the medication and will speak too dermatologist next week.

I can't help with the Acitretin, but just wanted to say sorry to hear you are feeling low. What you are describing sounds horrible, but don't forget we are always here whenever you need us.

I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling really low, I think you are right in saying that you need to speak to your dermatologist next week, it's one thing having psoriasis, but you feeling the way you do, is clearly affecting your quality of life and hugely affecting your confidence which isn't what anyone wants to see..... Hope you get to see the derm soon and as Fred said, we are all here for you and will always offer support....  Really hope you get everything sorted soon.....
