Here's hoping it starts up soon Kat it's frustrating when you see it working on others and it being so slow on you
I'm sure your dermatologist will find something different if it isn't working on your next visit

Thanks all  Bigarm

I was really hoping no reaction, but that didn't work.

Red, itchy and you can feel a fairly large "knot" under the skin at the injection site.  Still not as bad as the one I had early on.  Basically it's a common side effect, but I have reservations about anything that looks like an allergic reaction.

And, still not working.  As Bill said, thankfully I have an appointment soon and should be taken off of it.  I'm stubborn and if they say I need to make it thru then I'm doing my part.

And since I think you all are probably tired of seeing my ear  Tongue  which looks about the same anyway, I actually got a somewhat decent picture of what's going on in my actual scalp area.  That one is so difficult to get as with the hair covering it's hard to get a picture, but I got one last week (I think it was or the week before) I didn't take today but it is recent.

The area is a bit more red than this picture shows. Actually it's not showing up here as well as I had hoped. In the pic on my phone you can really see the scaling under the hair. This pic more looks like a dandruff picture. But I'll leave it up for now.

DISCLAIMER: My hair is blonde NOT gray  Confused  And I'm entitled to be in denial if I want!!!!!!!!!!  Tongue

Oh not sounding good Kat. I'm debating about switching to Taltz but what I have seen by you and some other members posts here, I think I will hold off a bit longer.

This is where I find members updates helpful. I'm reading a persons real time use.

I can see it as scales clearly on my phone Kat

It isn't good and still looks quite active, I'm sure your dermatologist will be disappointed to see that there's little change

Nice to see your grey lovely blond hair

@Fred - well as you know just because it isn't working for me doesn't mean it won't work for you. I mean you've had much better luck on Stelara and Cosentyx than I did (although I'm not sure I gave Cosentyx long enough, seems this dermatologist goes with making it through the loading doses and if it's not working move along) But I can truthfully say that for me, I'm not a fan of Taltz. I think my postings have explained why Tongue

@Jim - honestly my hair at first does appear to now be a very light blonde, but only for a few minutes or if not under too bright of a light...…...then well, we won't talk about what color it looks like. The flash in the camera makes it look that color that shall not be named. Big Grin Darn psoriasis caused me to stop using hair coloring so seems I'm looking my age these days. Angry

Yes you are right, what works for one may not work for another. But you are not the only one having problems with Taltz, and as it's almost the same as Cosentyx I'm not sure it would be worth the risk for me to change. But I have a dermatology appointment this month so will see then, but for now your feedback is helping me arm myself with information I may need. Tongue

Well I'm just getting over the reaction from last week. The itchiness and the large lump under the skin has gone, still have a bruise (not sure why I bruised) and redness in the area. And today will be 5 days since I injected. I now have a nickname for the injection.... I call it "the evil shot" Confused And yes, I'm sure I'm going a bit overboard in that.... but I really don't care for it! And yet, I wouldn't tell anyone NOT to try it. If it cleared me then I'd still complain, but would think it was worth it but that doesn't appear to be happening with me.

Today is week umm... 10. Just did the injection with the pen. Hurt worse than last time but maybe didn't get the area as iced as I did before.

See dermatologist on Friday, my last loading dose is in two weeks so we'll see if she has me continue until then or admits that it's not working as still no improvement. Won't bother with a picture, looks the same mostly. Bit better some days, bit worse on others.

Sorry, that's a sad little update but just not much more I can say about it.

All update are welcome Kat. Your input can jelp others, and it also gives you something to look back at. I often go back to mine to check something from the past.

Good luck with your appointment. Thumb

Oh dear Kat it's a shame if it's not working, and you would think by now you would have seen some positive changes if it was going to work
Good luck at your dermatology appointment
