Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and have just started on Tremfya with my first shot 3 days ago.
I was hoping to find others out there already taking this medication. Did it work for you? When did you start seeing results? Any side effects?
Thanks,
Bec

Hi Becs and a warm welcome to our club   Wave

I'm sorry but like Kat I am not going to be much use to you. I haven't jumped through enough hoops  to get on to Bio's.
I'm sure a user will be along later to help..

Many of us keep a journal on here and you might find this useful yourself as it allows you to keep track of your treatment.

Jim also edits a monthly newsletter you could subscribe to so you can keep up with  the latest news. I'm sure he will introduce himself once he has resurrected he isn't an early starter these days.

Hi Bec,

Welcome to psoriaisclub ! Have a nice time with us.

Fred is on Tremfya, he has a journal Tremfya for psoriatic arthritis Fred's journey on it and is doing fine on it. So he may be able to tell you some experience.
Remember, we are all different. What works for one, may not work for others.

Cheers,
Caroline

Hello Bec  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

I see Caroline has pointed you to my thread, here are few others that may be of interest. but not been updated for a while.

[Group Specific]

My Journey with TREMFYA

Side effects with tremfya

Don't hesitate to start a thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis about your journey if you wish and just shout out if you need any help finding your way around the forum, I can recommend the [Group Specific] board if you want to get to know some of our members.

Regards.

Fred.

Thanks so much guys, it’s nice to meet you all!

I’ve been suffering with psoriasis since I was 18 (over 12 years now) and have never really joined any type of forum before.

I have been on and off methotrexate over the years, but found the side effects to be awful, so have always opted to treat my psoriasis with a lot of sunshine and salt water where possible (UVB beds in the winter).

My sun worshipping caught up with me earlier this year, and unfortunately I was diagnosed with melanoma a few months ago. I’m on the mend now, but with sun/UVB off the cards now biologics were the only option.

I had always tried to avoid them previously, but I’m actually really excited at the possibly of my skin being better than it ever has been!

And it will be nice to talk to other people going through the same type of thing Smile

Hi Becs and a belated  Welcome  from me I hope you enjoy our club and will find us a friendly bunch of fellow sufferers. I see you have been welcomed by several of us already  Thumb I'm not on biologicals yet but if the drug I'm on fails I guess it's the next step

I wish you great success with it and hope you get good clearance

I was like you with methotrexate I found it gave me awful side effects

I see Johnb has mentioned our newsletter which is free each month if you would like to sunscribe, you can do that by clicking here Groups and then click on join group
