Bad news is good news. The first of my brothers tests on his brain tissue came back. Stay tuned for results on others. Anyways, the found there was some cancer in the tumor, but the majority of the tumor consists of something else. Upcoming tests will hopefully provide a diagnosis so they can move forward on a treatment plan. Docs are content for the moment to not treat the cancer until further test results come back. The good news is, the cancer isn't even in stage 3 yet so there is lots of reasons to be optimistic about that. I have to say though, I am still very concerned and sad about the whole thing. It weighs heavily on my mind.

Yes, I agree. The flare ups I have right now are due to stress. Thankfully, it is not stress associated with PTSD. That is history. But whole new stresses have reared their ugly heads. But no PTSD. See? I can be thankful and positive! It's a feeling I am thoroughly enjoying.

Anyways....I am one day closer to my skin specialists appointment. That's all that matters.

Have a good day, all you fine people!

Okay Wintrman, that seems like a light on the horizon. Lets hope and pray that the next results that will come can lead to a good treatment for him.

Hopefully it's a bit better for your brother than expected, give him the best wishes from the UK.
Best of luck with your appointment.

Well kids! Get some popcorn and sit tight. I think it's time I tell you something. Something important to me at least. It's time to let you know, that as soon as I can figure it out (cuz I am such a luddite), I am putting my real name up on my profile. From here on out, I would like it if you could call me Sheila. Yes, that's what I said, Sheila. Since my brother's medical issue came up, it has driven home one point....life is too short. I have hidden this since I was 7. Hiding this has brought me through some suicide attempts and much more heartache. Time for the heartache to stop. It's time for me to be completely honest.

In a few weeks I am going to receive my first doses of hormone replacement therapy. So I am excited, happy, sad and alot of things. But mainly relief because I will be able to live my life as I was meant to. As a woman.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I am likely the first transgendered female here? So it will be a unique experience for us all. I am wondering how the Methyltrexate will effect my hormone treatments, but I think between the docs and I we can figure out what will be best for me. I hope I haven't offended anyone. I hope I will still be welcome here. I feel, with my unique perspective of transitioning and getting treatments on my psoriasis, I can shed a whole new way of looking at things.

P.S.

If you all ask me to leave, I will leave. I will be a little heartbroken, but I will leave. I don't want to be the source of drama for anyone else here.

So in closing, My name is Sheila Ann Marion, forever more. Please use the pronouns of She/Her. Pronouns....is that the right word? Anyways, that's me. A transgendered female that is also bisexual. Isn't this a new topic for this forum! LOL I won't be making advances on anyone. I won't be doing any talking nasty stuff. That is against the rules. I will be as lady like as I possibly can muster, because  I will be the woman of my dreams.

Thanks everyone! *gets off the soap box*

Why should you leave, what difference does it make what sex you are, what beliefs you have or anything else.
I will say however that I love popcorn but I am trying to cut back on the calories so I will not be able to get the popcorn out Big Grin

Well goodbye Wintrman, Welcome Sheila.

And congratulations with this big step Sheila. Really following your heart is fabulous. You will always be welcome here in Psoriasisclub. It really doesn’t what you are, it matters who you are, and you have already proven to be a valuable member of psoriasisclub.

You can’t change your profile-name yourself, but no doubt that Fred will do that for you.

Bigarm

Five
Caroline.
