?? Why?
Your immune system is already working harder that normal immune systems. There is no reason for a top up.
my wife also has a compromised immune system and has had both injections like me back in April.
She was invited by Imperial college London a few weeks back  to have an antibody test as part of a study on immuno suppressed /compromised people who had had 2 covid jabs ....her results came back saying she hadn't developed any antibodies and they suggested she had a booster jab in the autumn .... Although what good it will do I don't know unless she starts making antibodies to protect her.
So I assumed as my medication affects my immune system it would be prudent to either  (a) have an antibody test and if negative (b) ask for a booster

Indeed for Eileen that seems very sensible

And I am very interested in how your (a) is going to be. As far as I know your immune system is not affected by your medication, as your lympho’s are always very on level.

I will book an antibody test as they are beginning to roll them out over here now

How do you get that, do you know? I read they are only offering them to people going for covid tests..

If those of us on immunosuppressants are not making any antibodies they should find out because we could try stopping the drugs for a few weeks to give the vaccine a chance.

Agree!  I've had no reactions to both doses of Moderna and it makes me wonder if I developped antibodies or not Confused

Hello Wave

It's lovely to hear no seems to of had a reaction with their skin after the vaccine.
I'm still utterly terrified about having the jab, I feel very alone in this too.

My skin is currently flaring, but I never been back to the point of being in crippling pain all over because of it and because I know this can happen to me I don't want to risk anything.

I'm not taking any meds for my skin, and I would like to steer clear of them.

The more I hear about people not reacting helps, but are you all on immunosuppressents?

I wish I could go back to 2019 Confused

I am and I've had 3 shots of Pfizer without any problems apart from I think it stopped the Tremfya working as it should for a while.

This is the first time I have ever had a flu jab and I've always been against them but I didn't fancy the thought of being on a ventilator so I went for it.

No point in wishing we could go back, even if we could I'm sure the world will always throw something at us.

But at the end of the day Hanna only you can decide to take the jab or not, I don't think anyone should feel guilty if they don't as I don't hold with it will make it worse for others. If I've had the jab then why should I worry if you haven't, and anyway who knows who has and who hasn't.

No, Hanna, I am not on an immunosuppressive medication, so I guess the jab did its work. My reaction was minimal, no effect on the psa, not been sick at all even not sniffy. The only thing I remarked that my heart had more irregular beatings. Many people have that, it is called an extra systole. That effect is back to normal now, in the sense that is happens but only very occasionally, which I have always had.

Your profile says "Simponi" that's an immunosuppressant.
