So I'm currently covered in psoriasis from head to toe it is easier to tell you that I don't have it on 7 out of 10 fingers and 8 out of 10 toes!!!
Being pregnant means I'm rather limited on what treatments are open to me and most creams come with risks to the baby.

I was in the pharmacy the other day and noticed a product which I toyed with the idea of using before but chose to try forever living aloe products, the kind lady in the pharmacy gave me some trial samples and a leaflet. I checked it's all safe to use while pregnant so on saturday I purchased my first lot, I had to buy more today from the pharmacy where I got given the samples and another lady asked how I was getting on with it a a few people have tried the product and gone back singing it's praises.

Since starting it I do feel more moisturised and far less itchy and my flakey-ness decreased loads, I ran out of the product yesterday so had to use my epaderm moisture cream, itchiness came back and lots of flakes!!

So here's my plan, I'm giving this product 6 weeks hopefully without running out again. I will try and update on here a much as possible, and hopefully with positive results.
If this doesn't work I may bite the bullet and have more UVB.

I'm not naming what I'm using just yet as I want to see results from my own trial first. But if you really want to know PM me as the company is doing sample products that you need to pay £2 p&p for (uk)

Hi Hanna,

Hopefully it will work for you during your pregnancy. At least that is the most important.
Although most of the creams only work temporarily, psoriasis will in time always come back, it may be sufficient for you to bridge the time until the birth of the baby.

Good luck with it, I hope it keeps working although I'm with Caroline on this. It will probably work for a while but I have found with moisturisers they tend to stop working after a while. Since having my current flare up I have stopped using Coconut Oil and switched to Cold Cream and it's working great. Thumb

Another thing is the cost, some of these products are to expensive for long term use.

I noticed your score is 39 at the moment so it will be interesting to see what happens, keep us informed.

1 week done

Apart from running out of the product and needing to use savalon cream mixed with epaderm moisturiser I have only used this product.

I can see improvement, best seen in the morning before clothes have had a chance to irritate my skin. My psoriasis hasn't come up as thick as it normally does and redness has reduced, the burning I get is calming down and my skin feels better, husband said it feels softer!

I had an itchy night from hell last night :-( but the bed isn't covered in blood or a massive amount of flakes and my skin doesn't look to bad considering how much I did scratch.........I was waking myself up with how much I did! At one point I got up and it some of the product on, which did help.

I agree with you guys about how creams can work, the last time I got clear skin I was using Nivea light cleansing lotion, but if this stuff work if only for a while then I will be glad of trying it and wouldn't think twice of how much I have spent.

(if product bought online they do offer no quibble 30 day money back)

So 2 weeks done!

I seem to have good days and bad days at the moment, I think some of it is down to if I have scratching. I have had a flakey few days and must admit on what little normal skin I have I am finding some new spots of psoriasis!

But my lower arms have changed, the burning feeling has really calmed down and the area is cool to touch my chest tummy and legs are a bit redder than my arms, I'm wondering if some of that is to do with clothing! But again I don't have such a strong burning from the plaques.

Another difference I have seen is when it's to getting out the shower, before with a general moisturiser my skin would still be prone to going tight and causing some discomfort, after a shower and using this product my skin doesn't feel tight or itchy and feels supple!!

No clearance seen yet, I have to keep reminding myself that even when I've been on strong drugs it can take a few weeks!

Just as a note, I am not using this product on my back mainly because it's difficult for me to treat myself, the psoriasis there has had no change and behaves the way it did before I started this stuff!

3 weeks now!

Last night I had a night from hell :-(
It has been a very sticky day and after long walk I came home and put some of the product on, around that time I started my what pushchair to buy shopping which really stressed me out, I found that I started to scratch and scratch and scratch, I had a shower to try and ease the sticky itchy feeling but no good I applied more product but I just continued to scratch. I ended up in agony, my arms, legs, and tum turned bright red and burned, I wanted to just peel my skin off I sat outside for a while to try and cool my arms in the end my lovely husband got me to sit down and put cold towels on me, he froze a few too in case I needed cooling in the night.
I went off to bed and put the fan on high and tried so hard not to scratch, it was one very long night with little sleep and some blood shed!
I ended up putting savalon on as I have always found it rather soothing.
This morning my skin didn't look anything like I had expected, I was awaiting raw skin all over and still very red but it all seemed rather calm and only small evidence of the nights scratching!

My skin on my arms has felt tighter today and a bit dry, but things could have been much worse.

Im starting to wonder if my main trigger is getting stressed or anxious and then the scratching that comes from that as I'm not sure my skin is always itchy before I start to scratch.

This product has a few more weeks with me trying!
I'm half hoping and wishing though that it all clears or starts to calm a lot more once I finish working!!!

On the plus side I've managed to get a couple of discount vouchers so I can get 10% off the product.

If all else fails I will be back to the derm and no doubt on some more wonderful drugs!!!!

Stress or being wound up about something is one of the biggest triggers for a flare up, and the start of a flare up brings on the itching. Scratching the itch makes your psoriasis worse, you get more wound up and so it goes. A never ending circle that you just cant seem to break out of.

If you start to feel stressed thinking about what pushchair to buy, stop and take a break away from it for a while. or if possible turn it into something enjoyable like shall I have it Fake Zebra Fur Lined, or should I go for the Crushed Velvet Retro Look. Can you get a nice shiny set of Chrome Wing Mirrors on the handle? Or a Claxon the baby could play with as you're out shopping.

It's all about finding the right balance of sorting things out but keeping calm at the same time. Take time out, the problems will either be gone or still be there when you get back. Or sit on your own and count to 1000 in Russian I always get stuck at восемнадцать Wink
