Following on from my old thread about Stelara which you can find here Stelara 16 Months On. I thought I would start a new one in case it helps someone and also so I can monitor my results.

I have used Stelara before for 2 years see the old thread, and was about to go on to a new trial. however I was not suitable in the end to start the trial, so it's back on to Stelara for the moment as my skin is going crazy. the psoriatic arthritis is not to bad, but I desperately want that feeling of clear skin again.

So here goes, I have just taken my first shot and will be having another in 8 weeks followed by another visit with my dermatologist. My psoriasis score is 33 today, and here is a photo of my left leg showing between my ankle and knee. I had got the scaling down using Cold Cream, and I will carry on using that for the moment.

I will give updates on this thread as I go on through the treatment, and if you have any questions or comments please post here so I can keep it all together or PM me.

3 weeks today since first shot and all is well. feeling a little bit tired occasionally but not to bad and the weather has been very hot. the coverage is still the same but the severity has dropped quit a bit which is nice, and my score is now 24 instead of 33 when I started.

I think that calls for a nice ice cold refreshing glass of beer. Cool

Cheers mate, at least it's not all over my body like it did go once.

8 weeks on and had second shot today, just checked my score and it's down to 12. The Stelara has not worked so well or as quick as it did when I first started using it, but it has definitely made an improvement.

Arms and torso are clear, still got the same amount of coverage on my legs but nowhere near as fierce as it was. Psoriatic Arthritis has been good and I do believe Stelara helps with that too.

Looks like 8 weeks could be the way to go, but it's still early days and we will have to see at my next appointment in 6 weeks.

Over and out. Wave

3 days after second shot, thought I would add to this thread.

Today I have had a very bad headache, it's lasted nearly all day. my eyes are very sore, got a runny nose, and I'm feeling very very tired. I have put this on here as I know this is part of the side affects. It usually passes after a couple of days though.

Hope you feel better soon.

Bigarm

It's such a shame finding something that works but the side affects can be so depressing, but its worth it to clear skin and get rid of the pain it causes
