Hi Bill and Jiml

I've never been on the full strength tablets, these are the initial tablets.

I'm hoping the itching is nothing but I'm noticing that I'm itching in some of the same places I used to have psoriasis even though there is nothing there yet.

I must admit that although my lymphocyte count is still good, I was still a bit shocked that it had gone down to 1.1. With me being on the initial tablets I thought my count wouldn't in go down as much as it did.

Nieve I know.

I'm amazed that you got clearance on 6 initial tablets a day Clap that's a great result . It's like taking one and a half full strength tablets .... and you are trying to control the psoriasis on the equivalent of one a day .... I would be surprised if such a low dose will hold it back , but you might be lucky.
I would not worry about the lymphocyte count it's well within the normal range.. but just keep an eye on the results ....
Good luck and I hope it keeps working for you

Hi Obi,

You seem to be sensitive to DMF, that is to me a good sign.
Certainly you don’t have to worry yet for the lymphocyte count, it is high enough and probably in the long run will be better also. As Jim says, it is great and amazing that you only need so few tablets!

If I were you I should up from 4 to 5, at least discuss that.

As Caroline says, 1.1 is not a worry, but it is an indication that the current dosage is dropping the count, so a dose reduction is prudent. You may be like Jim and recover your count quickly Thumb Also note that for some people the drug gets more effective the longer you are on it. I currently take three doses a fortnight and keep my skin well in check.

Yes Bill you are right but I doubt the count will drop far on the dose of 150mg a day equivalent to one and a quarter full strength tablets which is the content of four initial tablets Smile

I'll keep on 4 for now and see if my skin gets any worse, like you say 4 is a very low strength dose, but you never know I suppose.

Saying that I've recently been getting a flushed face everyday at the moment, whereas I usually get it only once every few weeks. Not sure why I'm suddenly getting it so often at the moment.

Maybe I am very sensitive to fumaderm .

The effective dose varies greatly, from 120mg every three days to 1200mg a day! You have to play it by how you respond. I did not get a flush on doses below 600 mg. With 800mg it is a given. I have read advice that you can take aspirin to reduce or prevent the flushing, but I have never bothered. I am also very wary of avoiding any tummy upset.

Other than the red face I've never had any kind of side effects and I've sometimes taken the tablets on an almost empty stomach.

I honestly think fumaderm is a wonder drug for me as I've had no problems with taking it at all.

Fingers crossed my skin keeps clear on 4 tablets.

I'll keep you all updated. Thanks guys!

Me too, I haven't tried it yet and it gives me hope there's more things to try out there Smile
