Hi All

Just joined your forum. I was diagnosed with P in 2004, aged 43, and in Feb this year was burdened with psoriatic arthritis. I've been on the carnivore diet for 20 days as a way to treat both, but I'm coming off the meat wagon. It's made me too skinny, and I was already thin to start.

I'll still keep my diet fairly restrictive: no grains, no sugar, and I react badly to dairy n eggs. And I'll see how it goes.

I've also, last night, started taking low-dose naltrexone. Apparently it takes a while to kick in, so I'll update any results if and when.

Best wishes

Hi Nero and a big  Welcome to the forum it's good to hear of the things you're trying but seems the arthritis is being stubborn
But as Fred has said Alan has some tips in his thread and there is lots of other natural treatments mentioned here Natural Treatments For Psoriasis and if you don't find something that works you may need to go the more conventional route of drugs to control it
I wish you good luck and hope you find something that works for you

Hello Nero,

Welcome to psoriasisclub.
It is very interesting on how you will deal with the dietary possibilities you have. There certainly are some who do very well on it.
Recently I spoke with a dermatologist researcher and for the first time I heard her, or better a dermatologist say, that it is Important what you eat as your whole body is functioning on the nutrients that you eat. So it is inevitable that this has its effects.
She stated that specifically much green vegetables are very important.

Have fun over here with us.
Cheers,
Caroline

Hi Nero and a warm welcome to our club Wave .
You have my utmost admiration trying to manage your psoriasis with diet. I just don't have that level of willpower.
Good luck with it and let us know how you progress

Hi Nero,

Good for you trying an alternative approach and documenting it. Personally I would recommend using proven medical therapies, especially with severe psoriasis or the development of arthritis.

Cheers
