If you had vomiting and diarrhoea I guess there is more than a fair chance it would effect your blood sugar.
The bigger question is what type of diabetic are you?
If you are Type 2 on Metformin then I believe you can't do MTX.
I don't think insulin is a problem.

Either type and you need your bloods monitoring more closely to pick up on any liver damage that could come about from the MTX. As a diabetic it puts you at a higher risk.

It wasnt the vomiting and diarrhoea that got me, it was the vertigo that kicked in one day while I was 30 foot up in a Cherry Picker and didnt ho away that did it for me - that and my liver starting to grumble.
I am type 2 on Metformin. And judging by my average over the past 10 days (was diagnosed 10 days or so ago), I might be going on an additional medication to control my blood sugars.

It isn't too unusual to have to wait for a Dermy appointment. Sadly they are a bit thin on the ground and good ones are even rarer. I hope it's a face to face appointment a lot are still over the phone here in the UK. How on earth they are supposed to assess someone with Ps unseen is beyond me.

Just a thought with your socks. Some of my worst Ps is where my sock cuffs fall just above the ankle. Apparently Elastain can aggravate the Ps I was advised to keep Elastain content to under 2%. I did try a pair with non but they kept rolling down into my shoes and bloody uncomfortable.

Six months could actually be a good sign, it could mean you are seeing a top specialist. They are difficult to get appointments with but interns are a lot quicker.

Well, I will just have to give em a shot, in hopes I don't have the same results as you. I will say that I have a bad outbreak where my "fitbit" is. Not happy about that.

Thanks for the heads up though!

So, in reading today from an American Patient run site like this one, I was reading the Psoriasis can cause cause fatigue, ED, depression and anxiety as well. Is there any truth to this?

Oh....and now I am a type 2 diabetic on insulin.

Just about any autoimmune disease can cause the symptoms you are describing. Diabetes can cause some of them as well.

Yes, it is right what Mati says.

Psoriasis is a systemic diseass, no autoimmune disease by the way, and it “can” have a wider effect than only on the skin.
Known of course is Psoriatic Arthritis, but also heart problems… diabetes… and it can have an effect on the brain, which may give the feeling of fatigue or cause depression.

But… i you are a member of Psoriasisclub, that is very limited as we will cheer you up !!  Big Grin

As far as the rest of it goes, I am just trying to put together a more complete picture of Psoriasis, diabetes and the arthritis that I have. I am going into info overload here!
