Great that it helps so well ..  Thumb
Coconut oil can certainly be used on your head.
I regularly use it if I have a little itch over there in between my hair and I have good results.
Don’t know about the pro-topic ointment, maybe someone else knows.

Yes you can use coconut oil on the scalp or anywhere you like and as often as you like, it's perfectly safe as long as you don't use it with condoms as it can destroy latex.

Sorry I don't know about using protopic on the scalp.

Folds in the skin typically increase the absorption rate of topological steroids. As already stated, it would be advisable to keep the application as light as possible.

It's quiet normal to have some sort of rotation of steroid and non steroid creams such as what the doctor suggest. While there can be potential issues, the idea is to give your skin a rest from the steroids in order to extend it's lifespan.

To be honest, I have had psoriasis down there for years even being on biologics. The only meds that cleared that area was poison Rolaf ...and I rather have the psoriais.

If you use coconut oil and/or other moisturizers, then when you shower and they rinse off your body, they may make your shower floor slick, even if you are diligent about keeping your shower stall clean.  I slipped in my shower early this year and had a rib injury that took some weeks to heal.  Be careful there.   Rolleyes

The coconut oil will make your scalp feel better, too.  What relief that it's helping the genital area.

This is what I'm currently doing for the patches on my lower legs.  It's making it easier to tolerate without thinning the skin too much (so far, so good).

I found for my scalp that if I put some coconut in a small bowl and then put that in a bit bigger bowl with hot water, it will melt the coconut oil and I can get it better under the hair than when the oil is solid. Also melting it was easier for getting inside my ear. Plus I like the way the warm oil felt on the skin.

Now for elbows, etc I preferred it solid as I could apply it better that way for those places.

So just preference on how a person likes it but yeah, coconut oil is great for soothing dry and itchy scalp.
