My report always says they should be below 700 but they are always around the 800-1000 mark, at my last blood test two months ago they had gone down to their lowest of 618 but my dermatologist said although it was good news we shouldn't read to much into it as it's the first time it's been below the 700.

So she is going to be as pleased as me about showing a result of 591 this time.

Oooooooooooh I feel a dance coming on again.

Update Time

Had my appointment with the dermatologist today, cant believe how quick 4 months have gone by. Had a good check up and helped some trainees learn a bit about psoriasis, It's a training hospital I go to and my dermatologist knows I'm always willing to let them play with me if they wish.

All in all it went well though my PASI score had a gone up a little, I'm not sure why it's gone up as I hadn't really noticed much difference so I just checked my Psoriasis Score here and it has gone up from 4 - 10. So yes it has gone up over the past couple of months, maybe still a bit worried about all these scans going on and the thought that things could be ......................... well anyway that's another subject and I have two appointments for that next month.

Back to my dermatology appointment, one of the trainees found a small white pustule on my head. I seem to remember having it once before .............. Oh where is it ..................... Nope sorry cant find it at the moment but there is a photo somewhere from when I had it before.

Anyway they have taken a biopsy to have a look, so I have a nice little round hole in my head. Rolleyes

Going to carry on with Stelara for the moment and have been given another prescription for the usual 45mg every two months, and going back in 4 months unless the scans results say different, but at the moment they are still thinking it's not related.

My bloods were perfect too, so I've had my check up, continuing as we were for the moment (though I may be having another option at the end of the year, I will post more about this later) and enjoyed being prodded about.

Oh and we even had time to get to the Asian shop and stock up, even got a few bottles of Vimto. Smile

Update Time Again

Again I'm surprised how quick it's come around, but all is well. I have another 4 months of Stelara, PASI gone down to 1 and the results of the biopsy came back as a bacterial infection. Not sure how it got there, but it's all gone now and I'm going to keep an eye on it. Maybe it came from my old hat, it has seen a bit of action over the years Rolleyes

Here it is having a rest with my stick (click image to see full size)

I mentioned in my last post "I may be having another option" they are now doing test runs of Fumaderm in France and we had spoke about it. I have been giving it a lot of thought but decided Stelara is still working for me both with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, so why change!

My decision was helped by some other members on Psoriasis Club as I had posted in the members only section asking for some thoughts, thank you to those that posted It Did Help. Thumb

So it's carry on as I was 45mg Stelara every 2 months, keeping an eye on bloods which at the moment are now holding at perfect, then going back in January.

Exactly, Fred. Much better the devil you know, and you seem to be going well with Stelara.

Cheers,

Bill

Time for a little update as I've just had to put my psoriasis score up from 5 to 9 Sad

This past few days the psoriatic arthritis has been playing up and this morning my shoulders, collarbone, elbows and wrist were very painful, and my fingers were all locked up. I had my shot last Friday, it has been damp this weekend and there is a full moon on the way so I'm hoping it will kick in soon.

My skin is fine still almost 100% clear, but I do bloody hate psoriatic arthritis when it strikes like this. It's only just starting to ease and I can now use my fingers a bit better, but it's almost the end of the day. Confused

Right time for a positive thought Fred ....................................................

Errrrrrrrrrrrrm .........................................................

Errrrrrrrrrrr, got one.

I couldn't finish painting the ceiling today: = Mrs Fred will be pleased when she comes home and finds no paint on my face or all over the furniture.

Result Five

Fred let's hope it's a temporary blip and thing will return to normal... I don't have PSA but from what I read it's pretty unpleasant with joints locking up with pain
I wish you a speedy return to normal and I also hope your shot kicks in soon

Positive thought ........while you are not painting I am still toiling away with a paint brush so gain some pleasure from that .... Oh and join me later when the suns over the yardarm fo a pint of JD
That will take your mind off it for a while. buddy no whacks while you're poorly

Thank you Jim, yes it's nasty when it gets bad. Better make mine a bucket instead of a pint, despite what all the doctors and scientist say about how alcohol making it worse. I know if I drink enough and fall over asleep it stops hurting. 15
