Hi John, can sympathise with the kidney stones ,I have had them since I started with P ,I always wondered if there was a connection. I am 67 now and started with P at around late 20s .
Love Toronto in fact we looked at an apartment over looking the harbour for when we retired as an option but with my daughters illness it was not feasible . I loved the idea of going underground for the winter . You are welcome to minus 17 ,my son lived in Winnipeg and that was very cold, it always amused me that you had to plug the car in to keep it warm so you could drive it next day.

I moved up to Georgian Bay recently. I miss the view and the underground parking at my condo back when I lived in Toronto. I use to go rollerblading all the time down at the waterfront, great exercise. Great views from the waterfront condos there, bike paths, marinas, and always something to do. I don't miss the traffic and I don't miss the smog! My big plan is to buy a sailboat and head for the Caribbean and maybe the Mediterranean. But we will see.

As for kidney stones, I don't think there is a connection. Sorry to hear your daughter is not well. They are making great strides in medical treatments all the time. So you never know. A friend of mine, a professor said to me and I quote "There is a c*u*r*e for everything we just haven't found it yet." Can't use that c word on here or I can kiss my cake privileges good-bye along with my ass ( or should I say mule?).

Now that I've uncovered there's an imaginary cake shortage, I get to say the word "cure". Sure I've got enough posts for that?

I do get what you are saying Fred, and I agree completely. I was over zealous in trying to help. That said, I do want to point out that.....I think Jim is hoarding all the cake!
