Hi,
My name is Angela and I live in NSW, Australia.
I was misdiagnosed (we think) many years ago with Ankylosing Spondillitis and it is now being re-diagnosed with psoriatic Arthritis.
I'm also being put onto Methotrexate which I've been avoiding for a couple of decades now. That's showing my age.
I'm terrified of the Methotrexate. I'm currently taking 10grams of fish oil per day instead of anti-inflammatories and they help a lot more with much less side effects than the anti-inflammatory medications too.
Being early autumn here I'm probably at my best health wise right now. Psoriatic Arthritis is just one of many health issues I have.
I'm looking for like minded people to talk to about these problems especially treatments.

Hello Angela to Psoriasis Club

In the old days Psoriasis was often misdiagnosed, but things have moved on a lot in recent years.

Good idea with the fish oil, though it is better to eat it in your diet if you can. I often have oily fish such as Mackerel, Sardines, Salmon, and tinned tuna.

Hope you enjoy yourself over here with us. We are nice people, but still love a good debate, and like to tease Fred a little, see the Off Topics for that, but of course we love him for making this forum possible.

I am quite against the use of MTX, having used it myself.
Fred forgot to mention another thread of mine, Dimethylfumarates and Psoriasis
this one deviates from MTX, it's different, not poisonous, but... also needs a good assistance of a knowledgeable doctor.

We hope to read more from you out of your far Australia.

I'm wading through the threads like a lost puppy. So much of it goes above my head. I feel like an invader as it's not even proven to be PsA yet and what Psoriasis I do have is tiny patches.
Caroline I'm trying to understand your thread but that is harder for me than the others as I have no clue what it all means even with pictures
Krissie don't move to Australia. You'll have a whole set of new problems with the heat and humidity over time.
