Good luck, some have had good results and I doubt you will need to remain close to the Bog.

Well I had my meds and didn't die! So far so good. No nausea, a little tired but I am a lot lately as I am extremely busy so nothing new there. I actually need to get more sleep than I do. No cramps, toilet issues or other maladies to report.

It was only 5mg though so low dosage. Next week is 10mg.

Folic acid Friday still to come! New highlight of the week as it used to be "not knowing what happened on Fridays".

All in all a bit of an anti climax and worry about nothing.

Still have psoriasis so it hasn't worked yet but even I will give it more than 24 hours.

Tune in for next weeks episode of Pingu on MTX.

I got my prescription for mtx transferred across to GP surgery because it's a blooming nightmare waiting an hour at the hosp pharmacy - but maybe they won't let you do that until you are properly settled on the drug.

Good luck, 24 hours is a little soon to see plaques go, but your skin might not take all that long to start calming and being less itchy/ painful.

Pingu you survived! well done mate, I'm surprised Jim didn't come out with a Man  Bigarm

Yes 5mg is low but it's best to build up slowly, and yes it will take a little bit longer than 24 Hrs. (But Me thinks you know that)  Big Grin

Well it has came around quickly and I am allowed to have more drugs tonight! Unfortunately its MTX and nothing more exotic.

Tonight is week 2. I had no ill effects from week 1 MTX or the folic acid so now I take 10mg of MTX and wait for Friday for my folic acid. Hopefully I have no ill effects this week either, I have no idea what to expect yet as obviously a higher dose than last week its new territory.

No signs of improvement but we are just building the dose but I think your mental state plays a lot with psoriasis and now I feel I am doing something positive it seems less aggressive. It's not bad just lots of small areas distributed over my legs and back with a few elsewhere and patches on arms but it still has been getting me down so hoefully I will start to see an improvement in the next few weeks now I have started on the MTX path.

Personally I think I would be disappointed if I didn't see an improvement by my next appointment which is 10th August but we have to wait and see.

Thank you for coming back and sharing, if you have had no bad effects from Methotrexate that is a good sign that it may work for you. So I would say keep going, and yes if there is no improvement by 10th August then it may not be for you.

Yes Pingu it is still early days, but you may soon start to see some improvement, as you say a positive attitude will help. I hope your next update will tell us that there is an improvement
Good luck , and keep posting
