I recognise that very well Fred.
Currently quite some trouble with my right foot. One of my toes seems to be in quite some trouble, skin has broken, foot a bit swollen. Not happy. Sad

Probably because of all the walking I did in London, I can't think of any other cause.

Sorry not been on but busy with work.

I've not had any issues with joints etc except it looks like my middle toe on my right foot is a little swollen and hurts a little occssionally. Can't imagine how to cope if my psoriasis was worse.

I must say MTX appears to be working as it is much less aggressive. I have purposely not been applying my creams and the patches are less aggressive with skin poking through! YAY.

SO today is my third dose at 15mg, not expecting any issues except my yogurt is a day over best before! But I'm a guy so not sure what that even means  Smile

Monday back to the consultants but definitely a little happier even though it isn't clear but reasonably happy.

I might have some issues with getting my bloods done as I am only home for a day in the next four weeks. Two weeks in Africa working and then two weeks on the beach in Greece if I can get something booked.

I think best to avoid the creams if you want to be sure it's the methotrexate that is doing the work, it's always best to avoid using two or even three things at once if you want a good conclusion as to if something is working.

Best Before: Look at like this, if it looks or smells ok then go ahead with your yoghurt. But if when you open it something furry pops out and says hello then it's probably best for the bin, that theory doesn't apply to all food stuffs however as cheese you can scrape the fur off before eating. But to be 100% sure if the foil lid is raised like a bubble then it would be advisable to get a friend to try it first.  Wink

Seriously though you Must keep an eye on your bloods so at least get them checked before going, and immediately you get back. I don't want to frighten you or anyone reading this, but it is very important to have regular blood checks whilst on any pills or injections especially methotrexate.

I know I'm not sure if the consultant will make the bloods monthly or not next week when I see them. If not I am home a day in between so need to get an appointment for that day. I guess this gets a little easier when you get on the treatment after the initial constant testing. Just jugggling as I work away a lot.

You should be fine, but best to keep your consultant in the loop and have them done as and when you can. Just never get it into your head that it's ok to skip a blood test, as once you start doing that it becomes to easy to skip the next. Bloods are an important monitor, even Bill does his own to make sure all is well. (Not recommended though, and Bill does it as he uses his own treatment and not a prescribed one)

WOW Bill.

Was he in Breaking Bad!

If I could make my own drugs I would definitely be somewhere a lot sunnier than the UK.  Smile

Good to hear you're still doing well. Don't know if it's any help but these are photos when I was 5 weeks into treatment with mtx to give you an idea on timing for noticing a difference!

not really to be honest . More of an annoyance because the skin used to split really easily especially in cold weather so I could find myself smearing blood everywhere lol
