Hi Fingers, welcome aboard. I'm pretty new here but found lots of really good advice and friendly honest feedback. I have no experience of those medications apart from having recently started on MTX but I am pretty sure these guys will have some experiences.

Hi fingers,

Welcome on the board.

There are quite some acetretin users, so there is enough to find, and they may react for themselves.

In the mean time find or ask your way in the psoriasisclub boards, and don't forget the off-topic section. We gather sometimes over there to have a drink or two. Both the sensible and other members.

Hi again Fingers ( loving the name are you a safe breaker  Big Grin ) I'm glad you found us here

You have stumbled on a great site with a wealth of knowledge and  friendly people prepared to share their knowledge and experiences.

Here you won't be bothered by advertising or spam and any spammers are soon shown the door by Fred
The site will not accept donations the only thing that is expected and always given by members is respect for each other
as Caroline has said there are a lot of our members who have been on Acetretin with great success.
Here's  a link to a thread that will tell you of one persons experience and may be of interest to compare your journey with Acitrecin - week 1 it's Kelly's story of her journey .

There are many more experiences on the Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis boards just have a good browse

I look forward to following your journey and hope you will give regular updates as it is a good record for yourself to look back on, and may help someone else along the way.

I'm wondering why you came off methotrexate and cyclosporine ? Did they just stop working for you

Caroline has already invited you onto the off topic boards [Group Specific] as she says it's a place to have a drink and a chat just come over and join in . Everyone is friendly and welcoming but some are not as sensible as me  Smile
If you have any questions just shout and someone will have a go at answering you

Thank you all for the nice welcome!!  Smile
I have read some of the acitretin threads and must say i feel a bit better about it!!....google can be a bit scary! Lol.
@ Jim!...haha..no im not a safe cracker!!..i just apparently have large fingers!!!!!!!
I was pretty clear on methotrexate but when they lowered me to a maintainance dose it came back and even upping it again never helped so I was put on cyclosporin which worked great and fast!!....but my hospital only puts people on it for a year so I had to stop!...it has been a year since I took anything but I am pretty bad at the moment so I'm hoping the Acitretin will work!!!

Well Fumaderm, or DMF, is cheaper than biologicals and if it works for you than it can work for a long time without problems.
