Yes I hope so too, but it does look like Stelara has done all it can for me which is a shame.

Let's hope before long  Cosentyx or Taltz will become available to you  Thumb

Cosentyx should be available very soon, but Taltz will be a while yet. The French tend to wait till everyone else has tried it first. Big Grin

I have just done my injection last weekend of the Stelara and for the first time I have not been tired after the injection, I am hoping that I continue to get good results from it but when I saw my dermatologist a few weeks ago he told me he had just started using Cosentyx so I may have a fall-back position if it does stop working as well. I had noticed that I have the odd patch which I am using Dovebet on and it seems to be keeping it down so I am hoping that the new injection kicks in.

I found the tiredness gradually got less as time went by. Now I rarely notice anything after the shot.

But yes I may be switching to Cosentyx this year.

Good to have a fallback Dave.

Fred, is the Stelara really out of working ? Or is it working less? And in what degree less?

The weather is having its ups and downs. The damp rain cloudy cold really sets off a whole chain of events. On sunny days I notice I am so much better the itching drives me insane sometimes it comes and goes for no reason. I'm still on Apremilast a pill for p. Keeps most of it at bay all thru the seasons. I also treat my PSA with a home hand held ultra sound. I find just not stressing and staying busy exercising gardening whatever it takes to keep my mind off it can really give my p a blast off.
Hope your better soon.  Thumb

Well I was thinking of changing to Cosentyx once it is available to me because the winters are getting harder to cope with in regard to psoriatic arthritis. I'm not 100% sure if it is because Stelara isn't working as well as it did, or if it's because as I get older the psoriatic arthritis is getting worse. Stelara never has been as good as the TNF's for psoriasis arthritis, but it has made me feel happier and has worked enough for me to be able to cope and enjoy life.

I have always known the cold and damp has made it worse, and this damp patch we are having has reminded me how bad it can get. I was thinking of switching at the end of the year anyway and this has convinced me that Cosentyx will be better than Stelara.

We have to remember I've been on it for 6 years and it has given me my life back. But I think sometimes our body can get used to a treatment if you like and it's efficacy starts to dwindle. As you know I'm a fan of Bio's and Stelara has been very good to me, but I'm thinking the future is Cosentyx or Taltz.

EDIT @Quest Yes the damp has effected me for a long time now, and since living in France it has been better. But this unusual damp spell we are experiencing has reminded me how bad it can get. You are right stress plays an important part and even though we think we are not stressed I think feeling like I did last week has a negative effect, catch 22.

At the moment I'm aiming for another three months on Stelara, but probably move to Cosentyx after that or maybe before.  91

Very glad to learn of your improvement, Fred. Maybe you could have Stelara in summer and Cosentyx in winter or rough weather? Stelara would still seem to work for you sometimes.

Cheers,

Bill

Thank you Bill. Interesting thought, but don't think it would work as Stelara is 3 months between shots and Cosentyx is 1 month.

I will be sad to say goodbye to Stelara, but I'm leaning more and more towards Cosentyx. But one good thing with the Bio's is if it's not for me I can always go back.

Not good Fred that's a big jump in the PsA score again, and the pain levels let's hope summer will kick in soon and the arthritis will subside ....and let's also hope one of the new treatments will soon be available to you as Stelara is struggling to keep you under control Thumb
