If you have been referred to a derm, and you haven't been discharged, then you should be able to get appointments with a derm..

Also if they don't give you anything to help ask to see a superior if they say there isn't one tell them that's not helping you and you need help as it's driving you nuts

That nurse is talking rubbish, she should try living with psoriasis.

Don't leave till you have seen a dermatologist. You felt like crying, I would as it may make them think.

This is terrible service, tell them to come and read posts on Psoriasis Club if they want to know the correct protocol of treating people with psoriasis. We have all the guidelines and information if they are not capable of finding it themselves.

Well that went well .... not ! 
Apparently the derm Doc wouldn't see me as she was very busy ! 
I would have got more sense by talking to myself 
Said to the nurse about fumaderm and she kind of looked at me in disbelief and wouldn't entertain it . 
She has sent me away with an appointment in 4 weeks with a derm Doc and has increased me to 15mg as I plain told her I wasn't having a 2.5mg increase !
I pleaded with her for something for my scalp and she said about etrivex ? Then the next minute she point blank wouldn't give it to me and told me to go see my gp! I asked her why she wouldn't give it 6 times and each time she changed the subject ! Looks like I'm off to the gp tomorrow

In that case arm yourself with this NICE Quality Standards for Psoriasis

And tell your GP you are not happy.

I even showed her how bad my scalp was and told her all I'd tried .. she still wouldn't give it to me ! Do you have any idea why she maybe wouldn't want to give it to me ?

It sounds like she doesn't have a clue what she is doing to me. I still don't understand why you are seeing a nurse, she is not qualified to treat you.

I would have a good chat with your GP tomorrow and lay it on about how it's effecting your quality of life and all of this is getting you down.

Yep I agree with Fred go to your GP and tell him that you were not helped in any way by your visit to dermatology today ....tell him that they didn't listen to your concerns, tell him that they should be caring for you not refering you back to a GP...
I would lodge a complaint and ask them why there are nurses blocking access to effective treatments when you have suffered so long without relief or any compassion shown by the nurse, who in all honesty should not be dealing with you

Do as Fred says and take a printout of the NICE guidelines for the treatment of psoriasis patients and tell him you are fed up with being messed about by uncaring nurses,

They are messing with your life and the quality of it ......it's within their power to help but they seem  unwilling to try

I will bash my gp if I manage to get an appointment in the morning !
The nurse is a derm nurse but she can't prescribe as she had to go off to the derm Doc to write my script . It was she that said about the etrivex when I pleaded with her to give me something to calm my scalp down and showed her how bad it was .. when she came back out from the Doc and I asked her why it wasn't on the script she just kept changing the subject and eventually said go see your GP   So again I asked her what reason do you have that you or the Doc won't prescribe it .. makes me mad ! I told her throughout the appointment P was and is making me feel really down and is stopping me from certain things in everyday life .. she just really don't care .
I will have these same issues with the gp tomorrow as they are just as bad !
