Have gone back on Acitretin today. When I took this drug 10+ years ago it worked and cleared my Psoriasis 99% and I took Acitretin for over 5 years until it just stopped working. Then I progressed onto Methotrexate, and then onto Biological = 6 of these in all.
The latest Biological was Taltz began this in July of this year, I suffered with 5 abscesses and numerous infections: Bladder, Chest etc and my Psoriasis "flared up" worse than ever before??? So, the Dermatologist stopped it a 6 weeks ago. I have started today on Acitretin 10 mg for couple of weeks then up to 20mg for couple of weeks until I reach 30mg and I will have my Bloods monitored every 12 weeks. (I am Type 2 Diabetic and have NAFLD too)
