In your case I think it's good they are doing a biopsy to confirm if it's psoriasis or not. I was misdiagnosed with dermatitis from my gp (which is common from what I've read) but one look from a dermatologist and I got the psoriasis diagnosis.

Steroid creams are short term, help with the itching but that's about it (or so it is with me).

The people here are nice, fun games in the off topic threads (although beware of Fred, he cheats!) Lots of information and support here with people who have been there, are there, and who understand.
