What a great dermatologist you have suggesting talking with others. He/She is right, knowing there are others who understand and that you can share with will help immensely. Tell your dermatologist if they would like to point more here, we do have some flyers here: Cards and Flyers We are totally self funded and don't rely on sponsorship or donations, so what you get is all independent from real people.
Psoriasis is not a taboo subject here, and we don't care what you look like! as long as you're friendly you will be made very welcome. I see you have already met the cheekiest fastest forum member Caroline, and she is right, if your boyfriend says he loves you, He does. Plus you are in a relationship at a young age with someone who will support you, believe me that is a huge asset to have. When I opened the new forum I asked Mrs Fred to put a few words from the other side, your boyfriend may find it worth a read. See Here: Living with Fred He is also welcome to join us if he wishes.
Catherine, have a good look around the forum and don't be afraid to shout out. We may not have all the answers, but knowing there are others here who you can talk to will give you a huge lift on coping with psoriasis. Oh and all those Pretty Women you see! Don't be fooled everybody has problems of one sort or another, and you have an advantage over them. You already have psoriasis, and it can strike anyone at any time.
