[split] Novatretin (Acitretin generic) - anyone else used it? My experience so far...

Hi

I am on Acetretin for over a year now. I started on 10mg, then went up to 20mg. I got quite good clearance at 20mg and I was able to stop Dovonex as well, but after 6 months or so I found it coming back and getting worse than ever! I am now up to 40mg with Dovonex twice a day. I would say 80% clear but I am feeling the side-effects a bit. I am hoping they will die down...anyone on Acetretin long term and how they manage the side-effects? Main issue is my fingers and feet - very sensitive to touch and peeling at fingers and palms. My skin is shiny (??) and I have lost hairs on my legs and arms - but I don't really care about that.

I am seeing derm in a couple of weeks so will get them to look then.

It may be best to start a new thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis to ask as this thread was originally about Novatretin.
