Hey everyone, I am a bit down atm :(

Had P for 25 yrs, but following a bad flare in oct I am struggling. Got fatigue caused by P (according to GP). My bad news this morning that they can't offer me a derm appt for possibly upto 13 weeks has made me quite gloomy.

Did ring the hosp 2day but they can't/won't help as my referal was not an urgent 1. Rang surgery to try and sort that too. And rang the local Spire hosp to see if I could get in there and how much, they have appts nxt week but that is £140, and then what????

sorry to rant x

Hello and Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

13 weeks that's ridiculous! sounds like a postcode lottery problem to me. Thumbsdown

Don't worry about having a rant that's what this place is for, well that and chilling out in the Off Topic section. You will often find me in there making the sensible posts, and we always have room for an East Anglian. Wave

Thanks Fred, I always have this problem. 1 derm didn't even ask to see my skin when I finally saw them. And after this many years it grinds u down.

This y i dont bother with going to the hosp normally, but I was hoping with all the recent things in parliament things may change hahaha.

I'm not sure if it helps, but I remember talking with Hanna about the possibility of going to another county. I don't know if she did or not, but it could be something worth looking in to. Ipswich or Cambridge maybe?

Also if the dermatologist didn't look at your skin, I would put in an official complaint against them. Start stirring up some hassle with the hospital admin and mention local news and radio involvement, you may well be pleasantly surprised on the response. (It worked for my wife when we lived in the UK) Wink

Its a nice idea about going to another county not sure if it'd work or even how to do it. We live about as far away from anywhere as you can get so even a trip to the hosp in Norwich is a 2 hr round trip. With my tiredness I'm going to have to get someone to take me.

Hello "E", Wink

Welcome to the forum.
You could also visit another "country" Smile, but I guess from your words that, that will be out of the question.

Anyway take a look around. In the mean time there is awfully much to read.

Ty for welcoming me Fred, Troll and Caroline Wave

Had another letter from the hospital today stating "You...can expect to wait up to 13 weeks before being seen" No need to rub it in Rules

@Caroline my next plan is to try and get someone to donate a holiday abroad to me, do investment angels have a department for this?? Big Grin Maybe I should become a travel reporter....
