Thanks again Fred another newsletter and I'm not complaining. (But it's early yet)
I think you do well to put it together and as usual it is full of useful links to threads
I will place it in it's own folder for later reference Thumb

You're welcome Jim, thanks for the feedback it's nice to know people read it. 51 subscribe to it, and they all show in the log as received so I assume they have been read.

Sorry it was early, I'm an hour in front of you and the pigeons get restless in these light mornings. Big Grin

Sorry No Newsletter For August

I apologise in advance to those of you that subscribe to the newsletter, but I won't be around to do one at the end of the month.

All will be back to normal and you will start receiving the newsletter again on September 1st as normal (obviously that is if you subscribe to it) sorry for any inconvenience.

Fred.

Notice To All Newsletter Subscribers.

From now on you will no longer get the newsletter if you Have Not logged-in during the past 12 Months.

The Newsletter works on an automated system and our host has a fair usage limit of 200 Emails per hour that we can send, this includes all Emails and not just the newsletter. I have had to cut back on the amount of Emails sent out per hour for the newsletter as last month there were two emails that didn't get sent, this can not only affect notifications of new posts/PMs but can also effect new registrations as they my not get the activation Email to open their account.

I could slow the Newsletter down even further to allow other Emails to get out, but I prefer members who do subscribe to get their copy as soon as possible.

So as from now I will be removing Newsletter Subscriptions for any member that has not logged-in in the past twelve months. This is a fairer way as those that visit will get the newsletter, and it will leave a good allocation of other emails for the forum to use.

Those that do get removed from subscriptions can simply log-in and subscribe again, though if you haven't been here for 12 months you probably haven't been reading it anyway.

*If you have logged in once in the past 12 Months you don't need to do anything.

See here about subscribing: Newsletter Subscription

You're welcome Jim, don't forget to hold it up to a candle near a mirror so you can read the announcement in invisible ink.  Wink

Ouch I just tried that now I have a scorch mark on my eyepad
But thanks for the message it is a very nice thought
Have you done a personal message for everyone? That must have taken ages
I was expecting another gift but a personal message is very acceptable

Yep each one was personalised, took me ages. I had a problem with the gifts this month, every member was supposed to get a box of Mon Chéri chocolates for Valnetines, but as you know I've been in need of cheering up so I ate them all.  s19
