Hi Gus, welcome to the forum mate, I was diagnosed around 30ish, so I've been living with it for 20 years now, I am going through the hospital and am on Acitretin, check it out in prescribed medication.
I am currently only 4 weeks into the treatment, so I am a guinea pig.
Look forward to your post's.
Regards
Micky Welcome

coal tar cream seems to ghave begun working. It has gone from my chest and torso sides with a patch remaining on my back. However obviously this could have happened anyway.
I have some coconut oil in my fridge just now(as it is so bloody warm) so may try it.been on a paleo diet for three weeks now mainly for fatigue and got bundle more energy:I use the coco oil for fat in the diet.
thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Hi Angus,
Welcome to the Forum! I was diagnosed with psoriasis at a similar age to you, I've found coal tar based products reasonably useful at treating my scalp (T-Gel) but have not used anything like it on my skin - good to hear yours is working . I was hoping the recent sunshine might help with that, but no. Another trip to the docs called for more more medication I think. I've been told coconut oil is good, hope it works for you - I was told olive oil, which I'm going to try as I always have loads in!
Cheers,
Filmbuff

Hello and welcome. Coal tar was first stuff I used. Initially, it worked ok but ruins your cloths! However, I still use my T-Gel once per week.

Hi Gus,
Like others I first started with coal tar,but that was 25 years ago. God makes me feel really old when I write stuff like that down. Hope the CT works though,
Cheers
John
