@Bill It is not only bureaucracy, it is also about losing ones face. There are doctors involved that are too stubborn to mention. They have such an ego, that they sometimes only work for that ego instead of the patients.

Is it also to protect their patent that they won't change, if they were to remove the additives that would surely then be a different product ( tecfidera ) wouldn't it Tongue

No it would not, tecfidera is specifically targeted for the MS market.

Aaannnnd, we have new information. Right from the secret sources. Big Grin Tongue

Research of Nieboer, shows that unfortunately only 16 % of the combi preparate users of DMF can keep up with it in the very long run. Mostly due to the intestine effects. I will search for this research.

This is one of the major reasons that slow release was developed, because of the slow release this is much softer for the intestines. Would you believe that there are still doctors who do not believe this?

This means that our Jim is quite one of the lucky guys and also this means that Bill is also very tough. Big Grin

I Feel lucky ... I thought Fumaderm was being successfully used in Germany for 30 years without any major problems

It is, but it appears that statistics show that by long not everyone may be able to cope with the intestine problems.
That probably also explains why lots of doctors don't want to describe it, and why the reluctant to prescribe the slow release version, as they and even the best derms say so, think that it gives lots of trouble, but with the slow release there are much much less problems as the intestines think you are on a low dose Smile

This information opens my eyes for the sensibility that was in developing it.

You are probably right. There is no sense in competing with yourself.

As for being brave for taking raw DMF, it would be harder not to take it. Surprisingly, the symptoms are milder with two weekly doses than with a single weekly dose. It is a very safe, cheap and effective treatment against p and psa. Maybe people that cease would rather the p than the tummy ache? My psa is in as territory, so even were the side effects severe, my overall pain would still be greatly reduced.

Cheers,

Bill

It is kind of brave Smile However I would never exchange some stomachache to return to where I were....
Psorinovo I dont feel that much trouble to take (except for the price), slow release does its work in my opinion.

I am taking now 2x240 on day then 3x240 another and so on... So far very good.
Also - I've just had my appendix removed by surgery. I used to have reallly huge attacks of psoriasis on scars, this time - nothing! This makes me feel stronger. I've had a break in taking Psorinovo for 5 days. I noticed 2 light spots 4x4mm on my skin, a bit itchy. I used some Belogent and now so far nothing more!
thank to all! again!
Its good not to be so "Ladybug" anymore! Bigarm Heart

Good to hear from you again Joana, glad you're healing after having surgery. And the Psorinovo is still working, great no more ladybug  Big Grin

If it were just the skin I would take a lower dosage. 600 mg has far milder side effects and still controls the skin, but it is not enough to control the arthritis. At 800 mg the pain is controlled and I believe the damage to be reversing. The task of straightening my spine is proving to be a very slow and painful process, although better this way than to end up like Diodorus. The health system in Australia has not approved DMF for the treatment of p or psa, so it is good that I believe myself to be on a very effective therapy because I could not get Fumaderm or Psorinovo here. Further, DMF is approved for MS and is a restricted drug, so when I need more in another five or so years I will have to make it myself. My next line of experimentation will be to take doxycycline with the DMF in the hope that I can straighten my spine and regain flexibility more quickly. I start this tomorrow morning and should have an idea of its effectiveness by the weekend.

Cheers,

Bill
