Hi all, I am a lost soul from another psoriasis site that appears to have closed down. I did not know that you existed until I was introduced to your site by one of your members.
I am 67 years old and started with P and PA in my mid 20s though the PA started a little later than the P. I have been in hospital three times with the P when it got to a stage when it almost covered me, in last 40 odd years I must have had most treatments known to man in fact when I first went in hospital I had tar baths which just shows how far we have come in that time.
I am now taking Stelara in 90mg doses and has given me 99.9% clearage however in the past I was on MTX for nine years ,six years 25mg oral and three years by 20mg injection. I have also had Cyclosporine which I had a very bad reaction to and another one that slips my mind but caused my toe nails to grow sideways through my toe, it's a great problem P !!.
I will not even go into all the lotions and creams I have used as I am sure that everybody has a similar story but I am looking forward to looking round your site and having a chat .

Hello D Foster Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

You will find a lot of lost soles around here, especially down in the cellar. Not many do know we exist as we try to keep it a secret, but now you've found us you will find very friendly bunch of people. We don't have any advertising or sponsorship deals, and we will never ask for donations. You will also find we are very proactive against spammers, trolls, and bullies. Should you find any problems from those types just let us know and they will be thrown out the door.

Good to hear Stelara is working for you, I had to play around with the dosage for a while. 45mg wasn't enough as I'm close to 100kg but 90mg knocked me for six, I've found 45mg every 8 weeks is the best for me.

Look forward to your input.

Regards.

Fred.

Hi there and a bigWelcome to the club yes we have met before and I'm glad you found your way here, I think you will find the forum not only useful as a place to be to hear about the latest treatments and what's in the pipeline and the health boards......you will also find some light hearted stuff in off topic. If you find yourself with a few minutes to spare
If you do venture in there you will notice there is only one sensible one there....... me
I hope you enjoy your time here as you will find its a safe place to browse without being asked for donations, there are no ads it is totally independent and funded by one man. Spammers are shown the door double quick so we all feel safe as members

Yes you have had a similar journey to mine it seems Stelara has been your salvation whereas mine is Fumaderm.... How we get clear is not important as long as we get there

Hello D Foster,

Welcome to Psoriasis Club. I am glad you found it, maybe it will even beat your previous site Smile.

We go along very well here with another, as we are all in the same position.
Great to hear that Stelara is working well for you, and personally I am very glad for you that you finally got off the ultimate poisons that MTX and cyclosporine basically are.

Have fun over here, see you around.

Caroline
