I have Medicare which they take out $105 a month from everyone that is 65 and retired I have a supplement I pay $36.50 a month and have Champ Va that pays 20% Medicare pays 80% but not medication. Thumb

Since you're doing so well on Embrel, I wouldn't change either.  Smile

Our insurance here is quite difficult to understand for others I'd imagine (it's hard enough to understand when you're used to it!)  It will be interesting to see how much you'll have to pay now that you've met the deductibles.  Medicare part B deductible is $166.00 so is the $3000 deductible another insurance?  Asking because I'm curious as to how much Medicare will cover on the Embrel or if another insurance is involved.

Editing this to add the following.

Medicare prescription coverage is under part D? The deductible for it is higher, around $300? After I posted it occurred to me that prescriptions aren't under Medicare part B. Thanks in advance for clearing any of this up for me Glenda... Medicare is still a big confusing to me.

I'm with Kat, if you are happy with your current treatment don't change. Keep going with Enbrel if you are happy with the result and keep the others as something to try at a later date.

Also things are moving very quickly on the Bio front and by the time If/When Enbrel let's you down there may be something else.

By what I know Taltz is not so good for psoriatic arthritis, but Cosentyx the other new kid on the block is. So if you do want to consider a change Cosentyx may be the way to go, but I would stick with what you have.

I am on Enbrel for a few years but have a few patches not real bad.I see my Rheumatologist on the 24th of August.I will mention about the patches and my scalp gets bad,but have to talk to the Dermotologist about my Scalp.I use Clobex Shampoo it costs about $500 a small bottle but thank goodness my husband's insurance pays for all my meds. The Enbrel is $6000 a month how do they expect people to afford these high prices? I am truly fortunate that my husband's Veterans Pension covers me!

I am doing well on the Enbrel but went to the Dr yesterday and she said I have stage 4 liver disease.I quit taking my pain pills Tramadol 50mg,Tradazone 50 mg and Benadryl maybe my count will come down!I don’t even drink medication can cause liver damage.I will get some icy hot to put on my aching bones.I will have to keep on moving and try not to think about my pain. What does a person do when taking pills causes liver damage,I am so scared of what the medication is doing to my body!

Could be worth asking about Cosentyx then. It has removed all of my pain, it may help you get off some of the pain killers.
