At least not during the consumption of the pills.

The nausea I recognize. I still have it some times, but I learned to ignore it.

Deena has told me she uses something for the gastro side effects, you can see this thread introduce myself
I still have to go to the drugstore to find our, last time I was there they did not have it.

Keep on going Five

Caroline
Why no bananas? Does it make the nausea worse?

Look over here in the post RE: Bill's pure dimethylfumarate thread of Bill, where he explains why no bananas Wink

Ok Debbie are you taking the tablets with a meal and washing down with plenty of fluid.
It can be unpleasant but it should be manageable .., Caroline has suggested taking them with yoghurt. Keep coming back and talking
.the cramps will get less as time goes on but the nausea I never experienced myself but if you take them with meals and fluid should make a difference
The fact you are having side effects means that the drug is having an effect on your body which is a positive to take from the discomfort
Thanks for posting, please keep us informed, together as a group we should get you through the initial stages till you start seeing an improvement  Thumb

Hi Debbie

I pop in now and again and if I can help I will try to.

Just to say I am a newbie to Fumaderm , 4 months in.  I have had quite horrendous stomach cramps and spent a lot of time in the bathroom! Thanks to advice and reading others accounts on here and a very very nice Jim giving me advice I stuck with them.

Although my skin is no where near clear, I am getting full nights sleep, (now and again) , no itching all night, no burning and a lot less scale. We have had not bad weather recently and I even took my cardigan off once !! So I would say if you can stick with them, it does get easier.

Because my lymphocytes are low, I've not got up to the 6 x 120mg and I'm still hoping I will get there.

Well Debbie, hope your feeling better soon, I'll keep an eye on your posts and if I can help, I'll certainly try.

Hi Debbie,

No idea why bananas dont agree with DMF, but they dont. A big meal or salad and plenty of fluid seems to work well for me. The side effects should subside with a little persistence.

Cheers,

Bill

Good luck with the bloods be interesting to know your lymphocyte count. They probably won't offer to tell so I always ask then you will see the trend up or down and can make choices .

Hi Debbie

Nice to speak with you too.

Hope your bloods go well and as Jim said, I also keep my results, I ask my doctors reception to print
them out for me.

I have P all over, including face though scalp hasn't been too bad this time.  It is much better and face and arms look ok.
Just the old legs being the problem. dots and small plaques on body.  I have always had it everywhere.  I think I may have
given more information in an introduction post back in February ( not sure how to give link) but it was titled Joining In.

Also I use Dermacool for the itching, which does help a good bit - Cold but helps.

Hope your well.

I,m not doing that so early in the treatment, had she got any idea how horrible psoraisis is - not sleeping abd painful to walk? If Fumaderm doesn,t work for mevI think they are running out of options because I have gad cancer alot the drugs are not recommended. Anyway enough about me - how are you doing? Huh
