Fred still survives Angie.
So I take the fact that the nurse stays for a while as common practice.
Just in case of e.g. an allergic reaction, in the very rare cases that this might happen.

Yes Caroline is right, I've been on Stelara just over 5 years now I've also tried Remicade, Enbrel, and Humira and "I'm still here.  Big Grin

Yes it's common for the first shot to make sure there is no problem, but don't worry it is very very rare to have a problem it's just the protocol they have to follow.

You'll be fine, good luck.  Smile

Get the first one out of the way and you will feel much better, and less nervous about the future shots
Good luck Bigarm

Afternoon everyone

Popping in quickly as dinner to cook!!

Injection done all by myself, no problems , a little bruise and that's all.

Will keep you all updated.

Morning

1 week in, no side effects, and skin surprisingly starting to flatten and lighten already!! Clap

Nothing more to add really, but will keep you posted.

On another note, Fred I once remember reading about someone asking about foods not to eat while on stelara,
I was also told to not eat unpasteurised foods, raw meats, eggs etc, same advice as when you are pregnant.

Keep you posted.

Good news Angie it can be surprising how quick it starts to work.

As for not eating "unpasteurised foods, raw meats, eggs etc" that is utter rubbish, I don't know who told you that and I would like to see the evidence as you can eat and drink whatever you like whilst on Stelara.

So enjoy  Smile
