that's interesting what your saying I have just
been told I can start Otezla when ever I like.
they tell me at the clinic in Guy's hospital that Otezla
results are just as good as Fumaderm.

Phil

That's basically great ! The more good medication the better.
There may be a price difference. Otezla, according to internet costs, 22k5 per year. I can imagine that hardly anybody can pay for that without insurance support.

Thanks All

 Phil
The drug has been great for me but, I have read a couple of posts on here saying otherwise. I wonder why they are still offering the drug out if its a definite NO.

I have spoke to my Specialist since and she says, If they don't change their mind by September, I will be put on to biologics. My brother is on Humira and he was covered and its been like a miracle cure for him.

I did ask if I could go on that before Otezla but, she said I had to try this first. I wonder if you have a choice at all Phil ?

Thanks

That fits.
If you stop with DMF, it will be moved out of your system very quickly. Will not take months. This is known in the literature.

They might have wanted to see the Lymphocyte count rise above a certain point, Caroline.

But it doesn't stay rising.
I comes back quickly to the normal value for that person.

Last time measured mine was 0.7, while the default values should be between 1 and 3.5 (I looked it up now Phil & Bill, so my previous message at RE: My Fumaderm journey is over was incorrect.
But it has been 0.5, of which the doctor said that it was low but acceptable.
I always ask for all measured values and now have them in a spreadsheet.
