Looking good, and you would be markedly more comfortable.

It's so good to see a treatment working, so fast it's less than 3 weeks isn't it?  and working so well. It certainly gives me hope for the future if my treatment fails

When you get clear, will you stay on cosentyx ?  If so will it be at a reduced dose?

I'm looking forward to the next set of pictures, you must be delighted to see the difference, and no more flaking everywhere Dance yipeeeeeee
Jim

Thanks Jim, I am very happy. I got a very short hair cut the other day (#2 buzzer) which I have not done in years due to the psoriasis all over my scalp. My scalp is 100% clear now. I will get more info about the dosage tomorrow. I do know the following,.

- first 5 weeks you take 300mg (2 shots) once a week.
- Then you go to a lower dosage for a certain time and then you go on a maintenance dosage. I THINK the maintenance dosage is a shot once a month??

I will confirm it with them  tomorrow. My legs are getting better, I am a little worried about the red area's where the flaky skin was. Pictures show everything, my legs were getting nasty! Please keep in mind I have NOT used any medicated cream since going on Cosentyx because I want to see how much it can do by itself. Only way to accurately test it. I will have pics for week 5! Smile

Yes Bill! ahhh! I aint scratching my scalp anymore! No itchy attacks anymore! I am a very happy guy. Unfortunately it is also a mind game, I am always worried that one day the medication will stop working or side effects that I dont know about yet.

Yeah, I was the same initially, of a mindset that the drug would reach its limits or stop working. All unfounded as it is working as well as ever after nearly three and a half years. If it works like DMF your skin should become completely normal eventually. Fortunately you seem to be getting rapid results

It is great being able to go to a hairdressers and not feel embarrassed. I well remember that feeling of normality, it is great to feel uninhibited at last

Don't worry about the red areas of skin where the plaques were, they will return to normal with a bit of time... Just dont give them too my much sun before they begin to look like the rest of your skin or you may end up with some darker patches

And don't worry too much about Cosentyx failing, although I'm sure we all have that thought constantly in the back of our minds ........but the fear faded with me the longer I stayed clear, let's hope it will be the same for you.
I find reassurance here by reading of the current advances in new drugs and feel that if my treatment does fail, I am confident that there are new drugs to keep my psoriasis under control

Best piece of advise for anyone trying something new. Thumb

I was only saying this to another member the other day. If you are trying a treatment but still using the creams you won't be able to tell how well the treatment is working.

It's war, Fred. Hit the disease with everything you can. If topical treatment is recommended concurrently then do so. I believe that I would have progressed more quickly had I done this.

I agree it's a war, but it's no good wondering if it's the bow and arrows that are beating your opponent or the gun and bullets.
If you are winning do you then decide you don't need the guns as it might have been the bow and arrows
