My apologies as last year I got very behind on the forums and ended up marking a lot of threads read just so I could get back current. I'm guessing that is how I missed this thread. Insurance in the US is a bit insane on figuring out what and how much they will pay as it varies greatly. You may want to check the official Cosentyx website and see if you qualify for their $0 co pay program. I do not know what the requirements are but it could be worth checking out. There are also coupons that can sometimes be found online that can help as well. I've gotten where I always check out the official sites as with one of my meds (not for psoriasis) there is a program for one year free which although I didn't meet the qualifications, I did find that I could get one month free. Since my cost after insurance for that med is $100 per month, I at least saved one months worth. It's always worth checking them out. Smile

I hope you get good results soon from Cosentyx and will look forward to your updates.

Its been a week and 2 days, and no real change in pain. Loss of appetite, nausea, and I think a urinary tract infection. I am always a 2%'er for side effects.

I'm taking it as easy as I can having a fulltime job and fulltime school with commuting in NYC and long days.

I applied for patients assistance for my copay ($75 last year when I didn't take it, not sure this year), but I take several other drugs which add up, so I need help where I can get it.

Upside, I got a raise Thursday, lol. All goes to drs and meds.

I'm studying food and nutrition so I can whip up a dessert on a good day that won't cause inflammation and will satisfy our collective sweet teeth  Bigarm

Looks like I'm a 2%'er for side effects in my timeline and age group.  Wall

You can leave my dessert in the club bar when you've made it  Tongue I'm easy when it comes to desserts

Hope the side effects subside as it's still early days on the treatment, is Cosentyx having an effect on the disease as well as giving nasty side effects

Well I'm under stress of a major flare, added travel for dr appts, midterms, and I only started 1.4 weeks ago, so not really. I can't bend to take off my toenail polish, so I'll get my last pedicure tomorrow (afraid of susceptibility to fungus) and will report back about my nail psoriasis.

My doctor's intern said I should see some results in 1 week. I only saw side effects, ha! Fred and someone else said 8-12 weeks. I assign their experience more value.

In my MRI, however, they did find a seemingly benign tumor on my L5. So I have to follow up with that still with an Orthopedic surgeon and that stress is not helping either. Plus, my president.... Wall

I have been having a hard time finding a primary care physician that knows anythings about PsA. I called Cosentyx first about my side effects before going to a clinic for treatment for my UTI. They said yes, this is a side effect, and you could get one so early, and it was ok to treat with antibiotics.

I went to a doctor and explained. He had seen me before. He said no, its from sex. Only your psoriasis would be infected... after googling in front of me. I reiterated that I do not have psoriasis except on my toenails but rather psoriatic arthritis and that I am not sexually active. Angry  Then I told him AGAIN what Cosentyx had said. I bet you he still ran a panel for sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy. I have a doctor for that, thank you. She's great but closed on Mondays or I would have gone there instead.

A good doctor is hard to find.
