That really sucks... I'm not sure why you're rheumatologist isn't willing to give it a try. He is willing to give you MTX even though it had no efficacy with preventing bone damage. Can you ask for a new one?

Agreed Mati..
It is as if the derm has blindfolds on.

@Jim, I myself am the living example that DMF works for PsA. Even stronger... it is even logical that is works. Psoriasis is an auto-immune disease, with two expression forms. It is very logical that the medication agains the disease works for both expressional forms. And DMF specifically works because of its influence on the auto-immune cause of the disease.
Shall I write a letter to your derm for you? Wink

Thanks Caroline I wish that would help but I know it wouldn't. They are so set in their ways and won't deviate it seems Confused

It is frustratingly silly, Jim. Does DMF help with psa? In my experience it has provided great relief and continues to improve things for me. Having only taken one systemic treatment I cannot provide any direct comparison, but from the accounts I read I am very happy with how I am. Maybe you should send Juergen an email?

Juergen?

Yes.
I think Bill means dr. Juergen Erhardt. A german doctor who treats himself with DMF for his MS.

Yes, you are correct, Caroline. At least you can buy raw DMF in Europe. I will have to make mine Uncle Fester style when my current stash exhausts.

I am not helping you, Jim. If extra DMF does the trick then fantastic, but dont jeopardise your other options.

TNFs would be a great option - however I'd be a bit concerned on where the PC fits into equation. The options the rheumatologist gave really aren't options. He is just so using them as a clock block for more expensive treatments.

Thanks Bill' I know I'm trying not to antagonise the people with the power over my health care that's why I'm gently arguing my point ...
I shan't put my future care at risk Thumb
