Does it knock your restistance like Stelara or MTX if so I have found that it doesn't take a lot to upset your stomach, pick up a bug or two in something like cream yogurt or mayonnaise and you have a problem.

I've never had a problem with the bio's in that respect. The methotrexate used to make me as sick as a parrot, but with the bio's no.

We have recently both had a head cold, but I was no worse than Mrs Fred. I never have a flu jab as I prefer my body to fight it, and a lot of people have told me they still get the flu anyway.

They do say Bio's can weaken your immune system, but I've not noticed any problems.

Short update:

Psoriasis Score down from 2 to 1

And now for the best bit ever.

Psoriatic Arthritis Score down from 2 to 0

Yep you read it right. For the first time in too many years to remember I have No feeling of any psoriatic arthritis today.

That may change tomorrow, but damn I feel good.

Cosentyx has been worth it even for this one day.

I don't think even my early days on Stelara where this good Jim.

I can't remember a day like this. I have no pain anywhere, I can make a fist in both hands (I'm not violent but that is something I haven't been able to do for years). My toes especially my right little one is usually like a radish and hurts most of the day and night, but today it feels and looks like a toe (yes it's a bit wobbly after years of being rubbish, but it's working). No pain in my right hand shoulder and this past few years that has been a bugger.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder if I can do a Cart Wheel  91

Noooooooo cart wheels till next week NoNo

That's certainly something to celebrate .....it seems to be a great drug and seems to be targeting just the right cells ...hopefully this breakthrough will be a great benefit to other sufferers. I know reading your journal will give others a lot of hope and something worth pushing for Thumb

Thank you Caroline. I had forgotten how nice it is to be free of pain. I don't care if it only last one day, it's a damn good feeling.

That is an amazing result, Fred. I am very happy for you. Why would anyone wish to avoid taking systemics for p and psa with treatments like this available?

Cheers,

Bill

Thank you Bill. I'm very pleased, but I must admit I wouldn't have gone bio if I had a choice. I would recommend holding off till there is nothing else and life is so s**t that you just have to go for it.

The bio's gave me back my life and still do but in all honesty I would rather go without any treatment if I could and just muddle on through, but as you get older that becomes less of an option. So I have now embraced the bio's and I'm enjoying it.

We have to remember the bio's are still new and yes it's looking like they are the future, but if I was say 20 years younger I would hold off if it was possible.

The bio's are the best treatment in my opinion but I class them as the last resort.

But yep I'm happy.  Smile
