I better do an update as it's not looking good  Confused

I weaned myself off the diprosone and now only use coconut oil. It's two weeks on from my last Cosentyx shot, but it looks like the flare up is winning.

This is a shot of my lower left leg.

The right leg is much the same, and there are a few plaques appearing on the inside of my lower arms.

So it's back up to 6 for the psoriasis score.  s57

But there is good news as the psoriatic arthritis is still keeping away and I hardly know I've got it. So I'm keeping the psoriatic arthritis score at 1.  Smile

I did move to Cosentyx for psoriatic arthritis and it's definitely doing the job, so I shouldn't complain about a bit of psoriasis.

Next dermatology appointment 31st of this month, so will discuss it with her then and see where we go from here.

It's a bugger this psoriasis isn't it.  Big Grin

That is indeed not looking so well Fred.

It is a pity, but certainly I understand that you give priority to the arthritis part, that is the really nasty part and it is great that, that still is going fine.
So do keep that going !

According to your experiences it is clear that Cosentyx is excellent for treating the arthritis, which means, simply said, that IL-17 is the main cause of PsA.

Yes the psoriatic arthritis is the most important to me so I'm still very pleased. It's a bonus having clear skin and you notice it more when it starts coming back, but I can live with a few plaques if it means being able to move.

It's a shame it's not working on both Fred ..but the arthritis side sounds great.....perhaps you can get some Enstilar on your next visit as that seems to work for others here ....it would be good to have both under control ........perhaps it's to much merlot Whistle

Stress is also an important factor Jim. Remember that Fred has a very young wife and he lives in a crowded village, that also eats on your nerves. Luckily he has the stress reducing Psoriasisclub, otherwise he would be all over with Psoriasis. Whistle

Sorry to see that it's not doing so good for the P Fred, my derm has kept me on Stelara so perhaps I may be better staying on it . Try to get Enstilar Fred I have found that it's good to shift the stubborn P I just need something to shift a stubborn Mrs Dave now.

I would rather be on Cosentyx than Stelara Dave. It depends on what is more important to you, Stelara is good for psoriasis and Cosentyx is good for psoriatic arthritis. For me the psoriatic arthritis is the one to control, yes both would be better but for now I would rather move without pain.

I don't think Enstilar is approved here yet, this is France and they do take their time. Plus it helps to let other countries try it first to see what happens.  Big Grin

I'll carry on for now with just the coconut oil and have a chat with my dermatologist on the 31st.

I still feel great having no pain so a little bit of psoriasis isn't going to spoil my party.  Smile

yeah, can understand that. Treat worse things first. Shame you can't have a biologics cocktail! Good to hear the Cosentyx is at least doing it's job for you on the Psa.

Yes it would be nice to mix Cosntyx with Stelara, and in my youth I probably would have tried Big Grin

But I have not felt this good with psoriatic arthritis since first getting it 30 odd years ago, so I'll put up with a bit of psoriasis and enjoy Cosentyx and what it is doing for me at the moment and enjoy.

Smile
