Hi, I thought I would join this club as I am starting Cosentyx tomorrow (Nov 2/16).  I have heard and read lots of good things about this drug.  I have been a psoriasis suffer for most of my adult life (30 years +).  I have tried all kinds of topical ointments and have done lots of UV treatments,  nothing seems to work.  I use Olux-E Foam for the itch.  I have not been able to use biologics because I have kidney failure.  Cosentyx seems to be easier on the body so I have finally got the ok to use it.  I am looking forward to seeing what it can do for me.  Hoping everyone on here continues to get relief. Hello Kissinpuppies (you must be a dog lover)

Welcome to psoriasisclub,
Indeed we have had a lot of good reports on Cosentyx, so I wish you much success with this treatment.
If you like you can make your own thread telling about your experiences, they may be helpful for others .
There is a lot of knowledge spread on this forum and you will meet a lot of nice people.
We are all in the same boat, all different and therefore we have all kinds of different treatments, and luckily in the mean time there are many different treatments.

Love to see you around.
Caroline

Hello Kissinpuppies  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

I've just started Cosentyx myself, I'm a big fan of the Bio treatments as they gave me my life back.

You can find some members posts about Cosentyx in the Search (available to members only) and some have their own threads about their journey.

Please don't hesitate to start your own thread too about your journey in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis if you wish, it's a good way of monitoring your progress and your input could help others.

Regards.

Fred.

I look forward to reading about your experience as it will be interesting to follow as my wife also has failed kidneys and is on dialysis so I realise how careful you must be with the drugs you put in your body, it's good to hear that it's allowable with your kidney problems that will be encouragement for many, who can't take biologicals with kidney damage Thumb

Hi Jiml, yes it would be a break trough.  My renal specialist and GP are watching closely.  Blood tests at one week and then every two weeks after that.  If my numbers change, well, that's it for me.  Here's hoping they (kidneys) hang on.
