Hi I am Jen. I've had psoriasis since I was 10 years old (now 40). I've got guttate, plaque, inverse, scalp,PsA, and I had bout of Von Zumbusch.

Since it's been 30 years, I've been on a million different creams, ointments, etc. I'm currently only using topicals but I'm planning to return to biologics. I'm in the midst of a horrible flare.

Beyond psoriasis, I am a mom to two kids, a wife, a school paraprofessional to a girl with CP, and an avid reader.

I'm a big fan of the Bio's they gave me my life back. I found the creams just never kept it in check for long.

Enjoy yourself here, we have a good mix of people and if you ever need a break we have an active [Group Specific] section. If you do venture in there, I'm the sensible one.

Hi Jen and a big   to the site.....I have to admit you had me running for my dictionary to find Von Zumbusch psoriasis ...but I learn something every day

Sorry you are having a big flare at the moment I hope whatever you go on will clear it up

You say you may go back on biologicals ...why did you stop them ?
Which biological do you hope to get ....if you can get Stelara of better still Cosentyx it will be good as they have a different method of working to most of the other biologicals

No worries, most people don't know about VZ. My derm sees one case a year at most. I stopped biologics because I needed a break mentally. I'm Tired of having psoriasis and all the issues that go with it. Silly I know but after 30 years, I was tired. Now
My body is paying me back though! Ugh. 

Stelara has been the best for me. Enbrel and Humira don't work for me; and methotrexate stopped working after a long period on it.

Not much to inform you. You seem to be a pro in psoriasis, unfortunately.
But in that case we will we able to learn from you whenever you start again on bio's.

Never heard of Von Zumbusch, unless he was a german general ?

You say that you are a school paraprofessional, is that like an Airborne school teacher where you jump out of an aircraft to avoid the traffic ?

I'm on stelara, it's brilliant for clearing P. I hope that you get the right treatment Jen

Hi Jen   welcome to the club.
I can understand your hesitance to go back on some form of treatment, but chances are the P won't clear up on its own. Nip it in the bud before it starts to take over your life.
Don't forget the off topic section to help lighten the load   .
