22 days on Dovobet.
15 days on Neotigason (acitretin).

Arms are mostly clean, let's say 95%. A couple of spots are still red and it looks like Dovobet is basically not working there. Still applying the product regularly. Elbows are 99% clear. I have never seen my elbows like this in a couple years. Very impressed, but they are not 100% clear and this annoys me. Now I think my expectations are too big with the product Cool

I am really happy with the way my arms look now and I feel comfortable rolling up my sleeves in the office without getting too many looks from my colleagues. Great liberation, from a psychological standpoint.

Scalp... not so good. But I jus't don't bother and keep going.

Chest is quite good. 4 large patches I had just under my armpits are now gone, leaving a purple-ish shadow in the process but hey, can't complain.

Legs are improving.

Waiting for acitretin to kick in asap...

I wanted take a moment to say thanks to all for the kind words so far and sorry if I can't be as supportive to others as you are, several urgencies are looming ahead (more stress at work, dad's health is not so good, baby is increasingly demanding more attention of course) but I hope that at least, seeing that this treatment is being effective on me can be of help to other readers.

You are helping by giving your updates. We have so many members join but forget to come back and update, so your input is helping others.

Dovobet is good at getting the plaques down, but it's not a long term thing and once it gets so far it doesn't seem to do anything any more. Hopefully the Acitretin will take over where the Dovobet left off.

Sorry to hear Dad's health isn't good. Try to keep the stress levels down if you can.

Smile

Good to hear things are slowly improving, hopefully the Acetretin will start to work soon, but glad you are already comfortable enough to roll your sleeves up  Thumb

Sorry about the stress you are having, but  good to hear that despite the stress the Psoriasis is improving

Thanks for taking the time to update, I will follow your experience with great interest Thumb

Sorry to hear your Dad is not well. That can't be helping your Ps. It is good to read you are finding some relief with the Dovobet how much longer are you allowed to use it?
I am not surprised the Acitretin doesn't seem to be doing anything yet and you do seem to be on quite a low dose if you are still on 10mg. I only started to see any real movement once I went to 30mg.
Hope your Dad improves soon and look forward to your next installment.

Thank you guys, dad underwent surgery yesterday and hopefully he'll get better soon. I'll tell you I'm using extreme self-control to prevent the anxiety from taking over.

Strangely enough I have been given no time limits both for Dovobet nor Acitretin. I have my next appointment with the dermatologist scheduled for July :O  My GP has agreed with the 10mg/day  prescription from the dermatologist and based on his experience has recommended not trying to go above that dose before 6 months have passed.

Hopefully your dad will be on the road to recovery and you can relax a bit  Thumb

You are unlikely to be advised on limits, which I see a shame, because with Dovobet it is meant as a short course treatment as can be seen from the post here  Dovobet Ointment

Acetretin you can stay on for longer periods I understand, but I recognise from other members posts here that you are on a very low dose.
He may have a medical reason for keeping you on a low dose for 6 months who knows Rolleyes

Good luck and I hope you are still improving
Jim

Suffered a MAJOR letdown today as I noticed two spots on the back of my head with no hair  Sad One is a bit larger than a coin, the other a tad smaller but still quite noticeable. I'm fairly sure this is acitretin saying "hello, I'm finally here"!

If this is getting worse I will need to stop taking acitretine. I see that hair loss is fairly common with acitretin users since it is a normal sign of Vitamin A intoxication. Anyone here with the same experience?
