Hi all,

Had tonsillitis before Christmas & what I though may have been eczema. In March had another flare up & been diagnosed with palmoplantar Pustulosis. Had one lot of Duvobet with occlusion which knocked back now on diprosalic which does not appear to be effective. Was referred to hospital but when I rang for apt been told it will be at another go surgery!

Struggling with daily activities & beginning to realize just how much I use my hands without fully appreciating them!

My condition starts with blisters/pustules on hands & feet that feel like tiny shards of glass, they dry & peel & the skin catches on everything, then peels before repeating the whole process again. Needless to say very sore despite lots of moisturiser & using emollient!

Any tips for making life easier gratefully received!

Thanks

McJu

Hello McJu,

Welcome to Psoriasisclub.

One of the best moisturizers we know in the club is Virgin Coconut oil. Most of the members swear by it. Effective and cheap.

Others will kick in, and they are probably able to decode your first sentence. Big Grin I don't exactly get what you mean, but that is because English is not my first language.

There is a lot to find on the forum, you can ask any question, very often someone will have a hint or idea.

Hi McJu and  Welcome to the club I'm sorry I can't help as I've never had Pustular psoriasis but I'm sure some of the members will come back with answers
I will put a note in the monthly newsletter that goes out at the end of the month it may bring more members in with answers

I do suggest that you pressurise your doctor to get you an urgent appointment with the dermatology department at the hospital and let then know it's affecting you badly in your day to day life ....
I hope you get some relief soon

You will find us a very friendly group of fellow sufferers. And this site gives us a platform to share our experiences and support each other through the good periods and the bad periods with the disease, there is so much information here, about the disease and its treatment. If you need any help navigating around the site or a question just shout out and someone will reply

This  is a great place to meet and chat with fellow sufferers, knowing that the site is secure and you won't be bombarded with advertising, or encounter any spam, or ever be asked to donate.....we are proactive in ensuring that we all have a safe place to meet and exchange views

A great way to keep in touch with the latest news and members threads is to subscribe to the clubs free monthly newsletter Groups

Welcome  McJu  Welcome

As Jim says McJu, get a Derm appointment ASAP.

I use bionia coconut oil to help my dried out psoriasis, works wonders.

Hello McJu Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

Sorry to hear you have recently been diagnosed, it's a lfie changer that's for sure. But it can be managed, and the sooner you get going with a dermatologist the better.

I've not had it myself, but there are others here that may be able to help. Please feel free to start other threads with specific questions in Psoriasis And Psoriatic Arthritis Topics if you wish.

Also it could be worth you using the Search it's only available for logged in users and if you put in "palmoplantar Pustulosis" (with the two " each side) where it says Search By Keyword it will throw up some threads it may help. And a search for Pustular will give you even more.

Regards.

Fred.

Hi there welcome to the club, as said by others insist on a dermatologist appointment as soon as possible but in the meantime use the coconut oil it's really good.
