If it's not agreeing with you, and the plaques are returning, they will possibly up the dose again. Although if you are having bad side effects. Perhaps they will change your medication for something like mine Fumaderm which is less toxic to your system. Or they may decide a biological drug for you ..... Read plenty here before your appointment so you are armed and in a position of knowledge
Good luck

I only had chapped lips and peeling for the first few weeks. I was started on a dose of 25mg a day, dropped down to 20mg a day and now I alternate on 10mg one day/20mg every other day. I did experience a bit of hair loss which is in part, the reason for lowering my dosage. It was also lowered because my skin is completely clear (for now anyway ?). I noticed more that the texture of my hair has changed vs losing hair, but I'll take it any day over Psoriasis. If I read your post correctly you started in Nov on 40mg day?? It is a slow acting med. It took a good 3 or 4 months for me to see real progress. Wishing you the best. Hang in there

Do you think it would help ? Going to MTX ?
The side effects of MTX may be worse than those acetretin.
I think it is time for you to look at different medication. As loosing hair is not a good sign.

Well... Then keep a good eye on your health and how you feel. If you think it feels worse or with the slightest sign of really seeing it worse you should immediately ring the bell !!

Really methotrexate!! Confused all I will say is some on here swear by it, but I couldn't get on with it myself but we are all different, ... You say the nurse suggested methotrexate, I hope it works well for you...... It is difficult to argue with the proffesionals... I wish you success with it ...do make sure they monitor you liver and kidney function regularly and . Do keep us updated
