I know Fred and thanks!!

I do try to be a "count your blessings" type of person, but everyone has their days of just getting fed up with something.  I know that everyone here understands that Smile

Sorry it's not going as well as we all hoped it would for you with the stelara Kat ....I think you are right having the next injection and hope it starts clearing your scalp as well and the itching stops and you feel better about it
I know sometimes it can be difficult to be upbeat and feel positive  Confused But hopefully the next injection will be better,  but if not there are others like cosentyx that could work better and quicker than the stelara has so far

I hope you feel better soon Have another  Bigarm

That’s a bummer Kat :( how much did it clear with Stelara? If the derm recommends switchibg I would do so, and not take the risk with cosentyx regarding crohns. There are so many bio’s now. Hope you get relieve very soon

I had a flare at the end of last year, the dermatologist put me on Taclonex while getting things set up to begin Stelara. The Taclonex actually did a good job on helping to calm things down fairly quickly so it's really difficult to say how much Stelara helped clear. I think the best way to put it is that since starting Stelara I haven't gone backwards and I do think I've improved, just not as much as I would have liked. I can still use the Taclonex along with the Stelara, but I just seem to be at a place where things aren't improving further.

There is already a picture in this thread from where I started at when taking Stelara that shows how much Taclonex helped.

This is today, taken a few minutes ago:

Definitely an improvement.  I pick this area to show as it's an easy to photograph and the worst area overall for me.  But it goes throughout my scalp in places.

That's certainly a marked improvement, but i understand your frustrations in wanting more clearance from the treatment.

Yes, a very good improvement Kat. It is never an easy decision to chuck the devil you know.
