Takes 8 to 12 weeks to see if the dose is going to work for you. If it’s not helping in a few weeks, I’d call the nurse. The first few blood test after starting treatment is to see how the treatment is being tolerated. So if everything fine, should be gtg for a dose increase.

Hope everything works out with the move to methotrexate.
I was clear for almost a year before my liver said (enough is enough) 25mg / week.
But hopefully you are more resilient.  Thumb

How long was it before you noticed any improvement MrGnomusy?

Update from me.. been on methotrexate (10mg) now since the 5th of June, so just over 5 weeks. Still no improvement to the skin yet, infact my psoriasis is worse but that may be due to completely stopping with the steroid creams. Also no side effects yet. I know it's still early and they say it can take 2-4 months for any improvement but I can't help but feel it's not a good sign as I would have expected to perhaps have seen some improvement if only extremely small.

Got an appointment with my derm tbis Tuesday so we'll see what she says whether it's a dose increase or perhaps just being told to give it longer..

I would ask for a dose increase if I were you as with me I was on 25mg to get clear
I think if 10 isn't doing it an increase should help Thumb

Saw my dermatologist today. She wasn't overly concerned I haven't seen any improvement yet but as I've had no side effects we've bumped the dose up to 15mg so fingers crossed for me now!

Let’s hope you start to respond soon, the dermatologist may not be concerned but it’s a concern for you if it’s not working

Good luck on 15mg Thumb

8 weeks on methotrexate now, (3rd dose of increased dose yesterday, 15mg from 10mg) and still nothing at all happening with my skin or side effects. Starting to get frustrated and upset at this point.

I did UVB until most was gone and the I started Metho. But think my dose was up to 20mg a week before I started seeing some results. I stayed up on 25mg a week almost all last year. But it seems like your doc is upping your dos exceedingly slow.  Huh

Yes arsenalfan I agree with MrGnomusy and think your dose is being raised too slowly I was on 25mg before it worked for me. As I suspect you are having blood tests and they are good, you are not getting side effects but neither are you getting any benefit . I would be asking to have the dose increased or a change of medication, as what you are on is no better than doing nothing

Well my appointments with my dermatologist are every 2 months or so, so I've not seen her since 2 weeks ago where we upped the dose by 5mg. My next appointment isn't until September now.
