Psoriasis Club is 8
Yes we are still here 8 years on and we still manage to keep a friendly feel to the Psoriasis Club Forum. When I look back over those 8 years there have been times when I have questioned myself on why I do it, that usually happens when I get annoying spammers or scammers or having to work a way around Cookie and GDPR rules. But I always come back to a statement I made many years ago when I said "I will always keep it going as long as it is helping 1 person"
Looking through the 130,000 + posts it doesn't take long to see that Psoriasis Club is helping not only one person, but many people from all around the world. I have also many times had personal messages from some of our members saying how much Psoriasis Club has or is helping them, so that is why I keep it going.
Another thing I have always said is "I will never have any Advertising or Sponsor deals and I will never ask for Donations" and that still stands today. This makes us the only truly independent psoriasis website out there, and that is the way we will remain.
We now have over 1000 active members *(accounts 1 year old with no posts are deleted) and we have also built up a good selection of members that keep coming back to see if they can help others. It may be just saying hello to a new member, or answering a question about a treatment, but they all play a part in making Psoriasis Club what it it's.
The Members Only Boards are often buzzing with all sorts of threads from Debates, Jokes, Photo's, Hobbies, Recipes, Music, Sadness, Happiness, Poetry, Things (yes there are well over 100 Things). The chatting thread alone has has over 13,000 posts, some members also have their own journals, and the Bar is very popular amongst our members.
I made an announcement in 2016 that I had put enough funding aside to keep Psoriasis Club going till August 2020. That takes us just past our 10th birthday, and as we are guaranteed to get that far I see no reason to stop after that date. So keep looking out for the Psoriasis Club birthday announcements each year, I'm sure you will be pleased with what you see.
