BT (aka btinternet) in it's wisdom has decided to mark emails from Psoriasis Club as spam.

I thought it was a couple of members at first but it looks like BT have put something in place to maybe protect their users, but they are not doing it correctly and there is nothing I can do from this end.

I'm getting a bit fed up with trying to please all the email providers as Psoriasis Club never has and never will send Spam. We hate spam and anyone that knows me will tell you "there is no second chance if you Spam Psoriasis Club"

Hotmail is the worst email provider and maybe one I will ban in the near future. But now BT are starting to give us a bad name and making it look like it's the member.  NoNo

The way it is going with email problems lately I'm thinking of stopping all emails from Psoriasis Club. What does that mean?

#1 New members will have to apply for membership
#2 No notifications of new threads, posts,PMs, Etc
#3 No more newsletter

I'm sorry but it makes me so angry that I sit here working my ............. off keeping Psoriasis Club Spam free and email providers decide we are sending spam.

Wall

Feel like giving up.

Deep breath..........................

At the moment all I can say is as much as I don't like Google their Gmail accounts never give us problems, so get yourself a Gmail or a private account and things will work. I can't babysit your email account and if your's does keep marking us as spam then it will be you that makes Psoriasis Club become a private forum or worse still be gone from the internet.

Edit: To save me the hassle you can do a web search for this "BT policy (3.2.2.1)" and have a little read.

I wish everyone would switch to Gmail.

If any member is reading this and you use BT or Hotmail please change.

Update: I have sent an email to BT as it has been confirmed by our host that it is an issue with BT and nothing we can do at our end.

Will just have to wait and see if they reply. Whistle

Well done. I'm going to post a new thread in members only as I have a bit more to say, but I feel it is not relevant to our Lurkers.  Wink

I would recommend all members have an Email Account specifically for using with Psoriasis Club. And yes if I had to recommend one it would be Gmail as we have never had problems with them, and most members use Gmail, so we are well know with them.

On a plus. BT have replied to me and asked for a copy of the offending mail which I have sent for them to investigate.

*No members details were sent it was just a standard mail about a new thread.

I think they will have to reverse their thinking on blanket filters on a word
Let's hope they step back or we might lose members particularly those that don't come often and have bt emails
