psoriasisclub.org Hi, My name is Marlin, and I have Psoriasis Plaque BAD! I started getting it about 10 years ago,...and now my wife finally left me. Bout fed up feeling like a Leper, or a mangy dog. Seems as tho a Psoriasis person has 2 choices...Live with a Lousy Rash that irritates other people and try creams that dont work well...or take meds that threaten your very being by destroying organs etc. Anyhow,...I hope God has sent me to the right place for help. Here I am,...I'm reaching out...FINALLYBigarm

Hello Marlin and Welcome I have moved your post here to it's own thread as it will get noticed better.

Good to see you have decided to share with others how you feel, It Does Help.

Yes it's horrible and yes it does get you down, but you must try to be a bit more positive about it.
#1 You are not a Leper, or a Mangy Dog!
#2 You shouldn't let what other people think bother you.
#3 Some creams do work, and you just have to find what works for you. Also what works today may not work in a few weeks time.
#4 Not all the medication damages your organs. Yes there are some side affects with treatments but with regular checks you should be fine.

Don't get me wrong, but having a negative attitude about psoriasis or it's treatment is not going to help you. I'm not all doom and gloom honest. Wink

Have a read through some of the other threads and chip in, you will find by talking it will help. No one can give you a cure, or help you with the s**t that life throws at you. but we can listen to each other and offer support.

Regards.

Fred.

Hello Martin,

Welcome... that at first.

I like to add something to #4, Indeed there is lousy medication (e.g. MTX) may of us have used it and left it, but there are also better substances, that do not destroy your organs and have minor side effects.

If you are interested feel free to read my posts Wink, which is anyhow free of course, otherwise I would not be on this forum...

I will certainly not say that it is fun to have psoriasis, certainly not, but at least we can have a little fun between ourselves on the forum, as we are all the same. Thumb
