Tip: I would stop the Enstilar a few weeks before seeing the dermatologist, if they see it not looking too bad they may continue. However if you say Enstilar hasn't worked and you have plenty of psoriasis they are more likely to go the next step.  Wink

But that is just my opinion and you have decide what is best for you.
Hi Fred,

You read my mind, my friend. I had intended to stop it's use on the third Monday of November. It's really, really sad that we have to make ourselves look horrible in order to be believed or to get an improved medication to treat Psoriasis. I know it's got to be done, but on the other hand, it almost makes me feel like a used car salesman. You know, making a wreck seem alot better than it truly is to sell it to a potential buyer.  Big Grin But those are the cards we are dealt. Kinda pathetic if you ask me. I wish some of these health professionals would experience psoriasis at my level. Then they would understand the itch, the abhorrent appearance of widespread psoriasis on their body, the shame.  Some of them have no real clue of what we go through.

Cheers,

Wintrman

Lots of changes you made! By losing weight and seeing the effect of stress on your psoriasis!

I won't bore you with my story, but like you, I've had to deal with a terrible past that caused me to develop PTSD. And you're right, the stress is also my trigger for psoriasis.
I have been in mental therapy for many years and it has helped me to reduce a lot of stress, and the psoriasis is almost gone. When I'm stressed, it comes back.

So if you live your life the way you want to, like going out with the camper, doing the things that make you happy, making your own choices, you will feel so much better about yourself. This is a great sterss reducer.
And if there's a situation that makes you stressful, like your son staying at your home, choose for yourself, let him stay just one night, or whatever makes you feel less stressed in that situation. It's your health (also your metal health) you play with and don't take it lightly because you know it will affect you.

It's okay to choose for yourself, people have to respect this.

I hope everything keeps going in the positive direction! Good luck!

Well, ladies and gents, I have surpassed my first mile stone. I have lost 40.4 lbs. My ultimate goal is to hit the 140 lb. weight loss goal and I am seeing that it is possible. Feel free to cheer and go wild!  Tongue Sadly, I am not seeing a decrease in pain in regards to my arthritis. Ah well. I guess I should be happy with what I have accomplished in other areas.

If I could ask, could people reply with foods they eat that inflame their arthritis. As I mentioned in my other post, on my other thread, I have discovered that my fave veggie and quite possibly my fave meat, bacon, are very inflammatory for arthritis and PSa. What are your food triggers or inflamers?

Very very good Wintrman.

Inflamers… i thought that most meat has a high inflammation characteristic.
Peanuts and peanut butter is to be avoided.
Explicitly NO red wine or red grapes
Sugars…. But you avoid them anyway.

Well done Wintrman Clap

Sorry can't help with inflammatory triggers as I've given up trying to find out, and I enjoy my food and drink to much to worry about it.

Congratulations!   Clap

I'm trying to figure this out, too, and am keeping a food diary.  I've heard that potatoes and tomatoes, and other foods in the nightshade family may make inflammation worse.

Woot woot!!!!   Five

Keep it up Wintrman!   Clap

I don't pay much attention to food and if it causes inflammation.  Especially since I get a double whammy of inflammation and some foods can trigger PSA and some lupus.....
